Legitimate Question. Whats better Gems in Gear?? Red or Blue?? I was always told red ruby's for Max Life. But Elon has All Blue for DR while Fortified. Which one makes you more of a Tank?
Red for barb typically because usually your doing the blue shield on health bubble and blue for druid since your getting a red fortified shield on health bubble. This is just for your armor pieces. Skulls on jewelry and emeralds on weapons
Barbarian has more abilities based on max life (red gems) and Druid has alot based on Fortified (blue gems). However, it depends on the balance of max life and damage reduction you have on your gear -> There's no point of having too much damage reduction if you have very little life OR having high max life, but having little damage reduction to protect it.

The answer is that it depends. Each type of gem acts differently depending on if it's put in jewelry, weapons or armor.

Fortify gives flat 10% dmg reduction. Go with blue if you have 10k life or more. The DR while fortify is better than total life
