This makes me so emotional omg...Dr. O and his family paid my tuition at the University of Notre Dame when I had no dime coming from Ethiopia. They changed my life and family's life forever breaking generational poverty!! Dr. Bunmi , his mom is just like my mom here in the US and Dr. O is just so inspiring. Keep shining king!!!

So deserving. The Okanlami family were so kind to us when we attended University Notre Dame. Dr. O made sure to interact with all of us and even host us at their home with his mother

Dr. O and the team from GMA thanks for sharing this story that inspired me. I've been permanently disabled for the past five years. It led to a early retirement from a job that I loved so much. It's not easy and having access to get around in NYC is so hard. This story is encouraging and now I don't feel alone with the struggle of being disabled.

When I saw this man STANDING UP TO GET HIS OWN WHEELCHAIR OUTTA THE CAR, I literally burst out laughing. Not because it's "funny", but in the sense of "yall bytches didn't think I would beat the odds" funny. It's like a baby telling you to put some milk in their bottle🤔. If you can TELL ME to go and put something in your BOTTLE, it's safe to say you don't need to be drinking out of a bottle🤷🏽♀️.Time to move up to a sippy cup or something. Same here. If he's able to stand up and get his own wheelchair out, it's safe to say that he's on the way to not needing his chair🤷🏽♀️. And that's gonna be a terrific milestone 🙌🏽.

Whao, disability is not inability👏👏👏👏👏👏
At the end what he was saying there’s so many things people don’t understand until they experience it. My health issues I never had heard of before. My mom got Akathisia recently, never heard of it. Found a support group where I learned some people get miss diagnosed with mental health issues and given tons of drugs which makes everything worse. What else is out there we don’t know about but needs awareness? 😢He seems like an amazing person who definitely deserves this 1 million dollars!
