Last week, I took the CELPIP test, and I panicked during the listening and reading sections because there was an unexpected pilot test for these sections. I didn’t know these were pilot tests. I had already completed a video task, then another video task followed, and the same thing happened with the reading section. Since I didn’t realize these were pilot tests, it felt like a never-ending test, and I became exhausted. I ended up struggling with the last listening and reading tasks. I’m not sure if these additional tasks are included for some or all test takers, but it seems unfair, as they could cause some people to mess up their tests. I think CELPIP should inform test takers about this beforehand, so they feel less panicked, like I did or hope find a different way to test pilots task as some people may find this test extremely important for their lives. :( Again, all of your instructions for each section of the CELPIP test are incredibly informative and helpful. Thank you!

Some tests include unscored items as part of the development process. We understand how important it is for test-takers to be aware of this, so we've made sure to mention it on our Test Format page, as well as on the CELPIP General page. I followed your instructions and studied hard in a short span and achieved some good score. It was my academic test almost after 20 yrs. I am really happy to share my unexpected 😀😀 score L-6, R-4 (disappointing, expecting 6 atleast), W-7 S-7 (both were unexpected 😀). I know this is not at all very good score, but for me it's pretty good. Once again thank you so much for your help and keep educating, advising with your helpful sessions, which will take test takers to achieve their dreams and pathway to PR. Celpip should please expand its capacity so that there are enough booking availabilities in every province since it is now one of the requirements for PGWP
Hello Brandi I do have one question in one of the similar questions in the reading passage The sentence was "I'm still kicking butt in the squash court and am managing to get in two or three matches per week. What about squash in Japan? Have you been able to play any over there? Are there even any squash courts? I suppose since you are in Tokyo there must be some. Let me know." and in the below Question I have found a squash court near my home I go there on Sunday with my new colleagues to play 11.) (a few games / a few leagues / a few matches / a few rounds). Should not the answer be a few matches as it's given in the passage but the answer written is a few rounds. I am a bit confused by this answer. Are we not supposed to answer from the passage only. Why do we have to use our knowledge Its an English test not a knowledge test. Please advise

Hi Brandi, I'm confused about the first drop-down answer. Though you've excluded the wrong ones, " unlimited" seems to be a very strong word. I wonder if there's other better choice, would it be chosen as a correct answer?
The travel brochure tells us that food and drink are included with the trip, so we would not need to pay for anything that we eat or drink while on vacation. Since all food and drinks are included, it is safe to assume that we can eat and drink as much as we'd like, which is why the word "unlimited" is an accurate word choice for this answer.

Yes, if you'd like to improve your score, you will have to register for the full test with all 4 components.
