So true! My job is stressing me out and I feel like I’m always on the go and I don’t want to be. I work less days but long hours.
Quaint is my favorite word. Thank for this. I have not lost what my grandma taught me either. I love looking at clothes swaying on the clothes line. I love sitting on the front porch on a rainy day watching birds dart in and out of trees, like it's a game. Waking up and talking to the Lord before I start my day. Yes, these are simple yet Quaint these I love.
I love all those things too. The simple but beautiful parts of life

Love this so true! Although we had it hard and my father was an abusive monster, my mother got away for a few years and I am the woman I am today because of her. But no woman should have to be a mother and father with a man in the house. I’m doing my best to find work that’s not so stressful and to work from home since I’m not married and have kids yet. Being a homemaker is not an easy job and it’s not a ticket to do nothing like some modern day women think, but it’s what God called us to do some of us.
I’m not a wife or mother yet… but working is giving me such anxiety and depressing me. I love being home. I’m not a lazy person by any means,… I mean I been on my own since I was teen and lost my mom so I do know how to take care of myself but I. Very nurturing and I find that being this career woman is conflicting with my natural state of being a woman. Making money is great because I belie that women should have certain skills but this world is too fast paced for me. I prefer to work from home. My mother was home but she was being abused daily and my father didn’t work and he used us for government money and she passed in her 30s. Something inside of me died and it’s like when I meet certain men, I dated some gentleman but there are other that want to trap me and domesticate me so they can have a modern day slave. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with being a career woman but I’m tired. Being on the go and working ended me up in the hospital 3 times. I have been saving myself for the right man but but I don’t want anyone abusing me and thinking I’m their mother and that they don’t have to provide or care for me too!
I'm sure you'll find a good man soon. My son is kind of in the same boat as to finding a partner. He doesn't want a woman that wants to work outside the home. He's a sweet kid and it's not about him being controlling or wanting a slave, but because he feels that women and men were created to have different roles. He's been praying for a good God fearing wife. I suggest you put your petition before the Lord as well and don't lose hope. I myself am a homemaker and truly love it. I encourage you pray and lay your desires at Jesus’ feet. He placed that desire for husband and homemaking in your heart. Allow Him to choose your spouse for you. Don’t trust yourself to choose a husband. In the mean time, continue to work on yourself so you can be a good homemaker when the time comes. God bless you.

Same here; new subscriber. Loved the peace and quiet of your video. I,ve retired recently and I still struggle at times to slow down or to keep busy when I do not have to. 40 years of working hard and fast does not disappear that easily but I am getting there. Yesterday, I saw a baby hummingbird land on a huge hydrangea flower; he was not feeding but fluttering on it, spreading his wings and refreshing himself with the dew droplets. What a blessing to see. That,s what life is about.

I took a part time job upon retiring. It slowly became worse than my full time job with time demands. Adjusting to "retirement" is a journey and you will find it a different phase of your life and probably the most important. Now I am working on taking care of my home and being self sufficient. I hope the adjustment is going well.

Oh darling I just returned from a planned vacation and there is no place like home. I am so happy up here in the mountains no noise just quiet. I loved this video like I love them all. You DID IT! Your garden is growing and producing. I hang my clothes outside in the summer too. Well due to living in the Forrest I only have one strawberry lol just one little strawberry that has grown. Just came across this and I love it. I have a very slow simple life and I love it…. But I struggle with societies beliefs that’s it’s lazy or unproductive or not meaningful. Maybe it’s because I have no children and am not married and it’s just me. I want to get to a place where I’ve accepted it fully. Right now I seek validation from these videos that is is ok and meaningful. Plus I really enjoy them!
Oh for sure! I also enjoy watching them myself and know sometimes we just need a little inspiration. It's not easy to live a life that goes against the norm. I wish you luck in your journey. Thank you so much for being in this space :)
My mother loved us when she was alive but she suffered a lot with the wrong man and his abuse ended her life. Too bad she had to find peace that way. He had severe mommy issues. I love cooking and taking care of the house and people always think I have kids but I don’t. I guess something inside of me feels like motherhood or being a wife is not an option now at this stage in my life. If you say you want to be a home maker and work from home the world looks at you like you’re crazy but I have so much to offer than just my domestic skills and I need a godly man to see that.
