    I love that you showed us a tough hunt that didn't end in a dead deer. It shows a very real side of hunting that doesn't get in many videos... Failed ideas. Close calls. Desperate efforts. Thank you for sharing it with us Tyler.

    Thanks for sharing the struggles and reality of hunting. Some plans work and some don't.
    We Zig, they Zag !!!
    That's 100% hunting, not just killing 👍👍

    That deer flipped out from the skeeters.

    Great video - weirdly my favorite part was the clip that showed the effort to get the Tethrd Predator platform to have a solid bite on the tree and the struggle to get it there. Good to know I’m not the only one.

    There’s this, and there’s what our wives think we are doing when hunting! Glad you have some proof for us now!

    reminds me of some of my fiasco hunts! Glad I'm not the only one. My son once said, "Dad, I noticed that we do things differently than everyone else . . ." :)

    What a bang up time.
    Reminds of Foxworthy hunting but a little more serious

    Lol reminds me of some of my hunts in my younger days hunting the south Canadian river taping trash bags around my legs to stay dry(which never completely worked)crossing the river then walking a mile back into the thick stuff never thinking about how i was going to get a deer out of there by myself quite the learning experience to say the least! But i have to admire your determination!!!

    The land you were hunting by is my father-in-laws land. We saw your other half of your kayak, thought it was broken so we left it. I will grab it this weekend if it is still there. Sent you an email if you want me to send it back!

    I had this kind of week last week... Hunted north Texas public HARD for 5 days and only saw 4 deer in daylight. 3 cameras with basically zero daytime movement, and temps in the mid-upper 70's. Almost enough to make me give up public land and wait until I can find and afford a lease... LMAO

    Ok I don't like to comment because you don't know everything, but I do know when your bringing gear in nothing beats a canoe.

    has anyone noticed onx maps being well out of date, my fathers house was built 6 yrs ago and it still shows it as a cow pasture and the deer field i cut in on my property 3 years still shows trees? i was forced to switch to basemaps for updated land maps

      Switched to huntwise app due to this. Imagery is so bad and outdated where my place is that it wasn’t usable.

    I was thinking about getting a little cheapo kayak for this hunting season… after this video, I’ma go head and save up for the Nucanoe 😂

      A nice little pack boat ( canoe w bottom seating)

    • @GraylenGoOutside
      @GraylenGoOutside 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@reelrydor1 I need something stable since I’ll be alone and my #1 priority is something that won’t flip. Everything I’ve read says to not even attempt to stand up in a canoe. Meanwhile the Nucanoe I’m looking at has a 700lb capacity, almost impossible to flip unless you’re trying to, light enough to load on my roof by myself, and easy to stand up in.

    • @reelrydor1

      @@GraylenGoOutside nice but heavy n paddles like a long compared to true paddling vessels

    • @GraylenGoOutside
      @GraylenGoOutside 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@reelrydor1 yea there are definitely trade offs, but I just place stability above all else. If I’d only be using it to fish during the daylight hours in shorts and a t shirt I’d get something more nimble, but in freezing weather in the dark I want the log lol

      Just bought a Nucanoo unlimited a couple of months ago and like it so far. It's definitely not a speed demon but pretty stable!

  • @reelrydor1
    @reelrydor1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    No. A pack boat is more stable than a kayak n is lighter n will hold more weigh n transport easier, along w portage easier. Look at them, google them techically they are canoes, but seat n weight is low, they pasdle ten times easier. Placid boatworks rapidfire, or swift prospector pack. Yourube them. They hold to s of equipment, dry too. Use a kayak paddle. Mine is a swift cruiser 14 8 n faster than any of 25 years of kayaks n weighs 27#
