That Ramu kaka thing happened to me i am 32 years old. When i was just 24 i got a job offer in most reputable bank in europe. Within 3 year i got 4 promotions and was the youngest manager in the history of that bank. Everything was going well then suddenly my mom called and said she is not feeling wel and might die, I did not give a single thought and left to pakistan. When i came it was all drama and parents said " humari khidmat kun karega bus ab yahinrahu" i was jobless for 3 years and now earning only 10% of what i use to earn there. The worse was i left my gf. I loved her so much .. us ne mere liay urdu tak seeki.. i feel like crying everytime i think of her. She thinks mai ne dhooka dia... Dil tor dia bechari ka...

listening to your story makes me feel like i am listening to mine in many ways, but i was too late in understanding their abuse thinking they are my parents and how can they be wrong. now i am a complete failure who is trying to find life again but after so many years of hell... getting up again and walking out of that hell seems impossible.

In Islam if you are a girl, you cannot marry a non muslim boy even if he is ahel-e-Kitaab (The book person). But if you are a muslim book you can marry a non muslim but only Ahel-e-Kitaab girl. So it's basically not a social thing, it's a religious thing. So you cannot judge it.
It is also a social thing. Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia are also Muslim countries, they allow inter-religious marriages. I don't think that's right, but people should have the right to do wrong things.

larki ke maamle mein masle kuch aur hote hein jo ke understandable bi hein religious point of view se. Larke ke muamle mein to unanamously agree krte hein sab aalim lekin larki ke muamle mein divided hein. Because quran says to call children by the name of their fathers so that is one issue. Another issue is the religion of the children which according to Islam you (parents) are responsible of ensuring that they go on the right path. They both need to have a discussion regarding the religion of the children as well because there are some social aspects of Islam as well which means if you are a Muslim then saying that everyone's religion is their own choice is not enough. You actually are responsible for the right upbringing of your children. I think if the boy agrees that children can be raised Muslims then I personally don't see any issue or the need to ask him to change his religion.
