Jeongwoo and Yeongyu graduated today. They’re standing next to each other in one of the pictures 😭 The members were there and had vlogging cameras. If a vlog is posted I’ll let you know!!
I have so much respect for Jyun hao because he challenged Yedam, he didn't choose someone that is easy to beat, he chose the one that is harder to beat, and that confidence is what I admire about him. He is fearless. Also, I agree with YG about Junghwan. This episode is hard to watch 😭😭😭
Regarding the how they practice part, Remember the trainees were given the chance to see what the Treasure 7 choose for their performance? So during that time the trainees already choose which of the Treasure 7 they want to challenge and hey were given time to practice whatever the performance they choose. The time between the day they choose will take at least a week before they go to the competition, so around the time that they perform in front of Blackpink they might have already the what performance the Treasure 7 has. With Hyunsuk and Junghwan, like you I was also shock (although my Bias is already Junghwan 😂 at that time) but if you remember the PRODUCER said, "I'll choose the one who has the potential as A DANCER". The Producer knows and acknowledge that Hyunsuk is more skilled but the PRODUCER also knows that HYUNSUK is really more of a RAPPER than a DANCER. In making a group to debut as Idol they always consider the position, there should be the VOCALIST, DANCER, RAPPER. In episode 3 remember he also choose JUNGHWAN in the TOP 5 before deciding to add 2 more which is MASHIHO and JEONGWOO. If you check the top 5 there's VOCALS - Yedam and JUNKYU, RAPPER - Haruto and Yoon Bin and DANCER - JUNGHWAN. Then he added JEONGWOO-vocals, MASHIHO-Vocals/Dancer. That's how they usually form a group. So since the Performance is Dancing he would lean more in choosing the potential Dancer. I really believe if Hyunsuk choses a Rap performance he has bigger chances since the Producer knows this is his Greater Potential. Between MASHIHO and SEUNGHUN, MASHIHO's voice fits the song better for me. Plus YHS (the Producer) has already a criteria on what kind of BG he wants, so even if you are good if you don't meet the requirements he will not choose you. YHS is known in the industry to have a very keen and good eyes in seeing potential in an artist. He knows one when he sees one. That's why he is always confident when presenting his Artist anywhere. If he sees your potential he will fight for you. And he has very distinct choice, so that's why all YGA gives off same Vibes. You will really know a YG artist when you see them. Plus he is known to be a very vocal critique. He will not put flowery words but say it directly. Bcoz he is an Idol before and he knows how cruel the industry so he trained his Artist the tough way to make them stronger not just in talents but in personality and character. He's like saying "If you can't handle me how do you think you can handle the cruel environment in the industry" Looking forward for ep 7. Ep 6 is too heavy for me. Just a heads up. Thanks Marco ♥️
Tbh I find your comentary really interesting and perfectly structured. There was a lot of backlash when the Hwan vs. Suk battle occured, since Suk had already tons of fans and they all thought Suk deserved it better. I wasn't biased at that time (for me they both were totally new and I didn't know a thing), so I was also at that 50/50 position, where either way sounded fair to me. But I totally understand YG's point of view were Suk is already almost top of his skill, and Hwan is just starting but has tons of potential. Is also understandable Suk (and his fans) were angry since he's been told for years "you still need to improve, its not perfect" meanwhile Hwan gets a pat in the back "you are baby level but will grow". Still, as you said (I think it was on ep. 1) YG has this thing of thinking about how things will look in 5, 10, 15 years. It's been only 2 yeas since TRS debuted, and while Suk def is a really good dancer, Hwan has grown exponentialy. I think that's one of the reasons why he chose Hwan to win this one: Hwan is aiming for that main dancer position, meanwhile Suk has the charisma of a main rapper. Suk chosing dance at his current position that time, def look like a safe option. Also, I think YG def knew the positions (and thus responsabilities) for Hwan and Suk were totally dif. Suk was aimed to think, act and behave as a leader. This kind of "fall 6 times, get up 7" mentallity is something a leader should face, unlike a dancer/maknae like Hwan, who doesnt have this magnitude of responsabilities. There's a quote of YG that says smth like "I'm being brutal to you rn cuz the industry is even worse", I think them having this harsh comments at this point, made the antis and haters comments a walk in the park. So even we all agree YG was being brutal to Suk, he def help to make what he is today. Sorry for the long post.
Hyunsuk is YG’s kind of dance style. Just like Mino and GD, he has that swag incorporated to his moves. Junghwan is more of SM style, he dances perfectly and detailed.
fun facts 8:41 was not TREASURE A. That’s was “Original Team A” the superior group of trainees started with 4 members :Noa(now a japanese soloist), Raesung aka millennium(now a yg producer participating in producing Love Scenario and more), Yedam and Junkyu. Hyunk suk, Byunggon and Doyoung joined after. Then more people were added, Seunghun, Midam and Jihoon. Right! Jihoon was a part of Team A. Then he left the company and got called back for joining the program in Team B (Team A was also called Silverboys from Straykids jyp vs yg) However Noa quit and Raesung shifted his career path to be a producer before the program started.
Hyunsuk lost because he went for the "easy" win out of desperation and fear. YG expected he pick a rapper because that's the position he's being considered for in a debut team. He learned a lesson that the easy way may not turn out the way you expect. Also pick on someone your own size.
If u noticed too that yg focus on personality and attitude too esp in dealing with pressure and challenge. His constant criticism is his way of motivating them to see that desperation and determination to succeed. Hyunsuk is one of the oldest and higly trained since he underwent another survival show and he opt to choose the easy way rather than challenging himself to face the stronger contendr
I don’t think he chose the easy way, we already know how great of a rapper he is but he’s not in any way behind in dancing. He wanted to prove to be good at that too, proving him to be an ace.
Looking at Treasure now, I may be wrong but I think YG has already been assessing his trainees' emotional and mental stability (apart from talent that he's able to see every month) so he can choose THE BEST Treasure members and irking or disappointing trainees may be the solution? idk. somehow, Treasure's personalities now can be traced back to how they handled YGTB.
I tell you, Hyunsuk is really THAT GOOD at dancing. he include in top 10 best male dancer in kpop *well according to source not google lol * 😩👏🏼 he is really an ACE. main rapper who can hit high notes and dance deliciously HAHA
@@marcogennuso back then when he BX n junkyu join survival show Mix9 just wowww this boy talent, thats why now he can proudly said he is all rounder coz damn its true 💜💜
it just goes to show that everything works out in the end because seunghun and bx didn’t fit the treasure concept as much as they fit the cix music and concept: sexier, more mature, rnb. and yes, justice for yoshi and yoonbin’s full performance! there’s fancams of it online and it’s really good.
to answer your question, ygtb episodes were broadcasted live on their vlive channel every friday night. since it's live, there are no eng subs. a few hours later, they would repost to yt (with subs). so i remember crying twice over every episode 🥺
from the start YG said that hyunsuk was good at delivering lyrics even seunghoon said that main PD really liked hyunsuk but hyunsuk was never in treasure 7 and always got bad feedback even though we know he does it well he's also good at leading his group, some say YG does it to test his mentality because YG will choose hyunsuk as leader
Yeah and I think YG didn't choose him cs He choose the easier way rather than choose his main weapon which is Rap. So, I thought YG really want to build his power as Leader n Rapper
Nan! He just wanted to play safe, Junkyu is known as a Ace of YG Mashi was a dancer he thought that he would have more advantage if he goes for a dancer and it backfired
@@melomelody9796 Seunghun was one of the ace too. and look at Junkyu cutie face🥺 he changed his mind bc he has a soft spot for him and they're still good friends until now
@Melo Melody I agree with u just like what happened to sukkie YG wanted to test the team a more. If you watch the show in real time you will know how pd Yang is towards to them.
@@ABBY-sf3ei yes i know i did too and it's been 4 years now. All in all, all young boys there were just trying to achieve their dreams and all of the contestants whether they won or not went through tremendous pressure and they sufferred in many different ways. I really love and respect all of the 29 contestants and wish them the best on their path. Tresure, Seunghun and byounggon are still closed till these days and they just went to treasure concert last month too.
If u see wang Gunhao chose yedam with the attitude of battling to really challenge himself by choosing the best trainee says a lot for YG. YG artists are molded to be strong and confident so the journey to reach that point isnt easy knowing how YG bombarded them with tests to toughen up their mentality.
-Don't worry, YG never got torn up by public opinion even his own staff lol. YG want to peek treasure maker card to make a drama and tension for the show. He just like to play with people emotion especially fans. -As you can see since eps 1... YG trainer and YG itself always critic their trainee eventough they already giving great performance. YG and staff rarely and almost never give compliment to their trainee. Because critic will make their heart and mental are tougher to prepare them in the industry... and of course not letting them easily satisfy. Because when they easily satisfy, their humble will decrease. Seungri itself already said, dont let the scold get u down. Hope u can used to YG critic to everything lol. Ohyea, not just trainee... even after debut, usually YG artist rarely got compliment from him, 2NE1 already said that in interview. -Just a little discuss, About Jyunhao... he's one of the bravest trainee, because he likes to challenge everything. But for team B leader incident in previous episode... i think it's not just language barrier problem. Unfortunately, Jyunhao didn't see other member overall skill... He might can cover the hard song but how about his member. Jihoon in the other side, not just have leadership but he has the 'experience' (i wont tell u more of this because its a spoiler. But i guess u already know it from the guide). All member of team B are newbie and they still insecure with their talent. Jihoon want to help but he has a limit to help the group because he respect the leader decision and position. -Why team B feel low and skip most of the song because their insecurity. YG trainee is known very talented because only one best person who beat 4000 people to become trainee in YG audition. Treasure B is YG new way to pick trainee with their visual (because YG known not priority visual or beautiful face in kpop industry). Eventhough Team B maybe team with visual, we never know that dark horse always come from unexpected time and place, for example Yoonbin the rapper
Hyunsuk chose dancing because I think he wanted to show another side of him, many said he’s a great dancer yet we didn’t get to see him in anything but rapping. And I’m glad he chose dance + he did the vocals recording (for me he won in that battle as the other trainees said Junghwan lacked in something = emotional convey and cleanliness of movements) and showed that he is more than rap. I think YHS made his own kind of judgements that sometimes drifted from the performances he was seeing (ex. who was more fitting for the future concept, potential …) that’s why you heard all the staff shook gasps 😂. Also everyone could have chosen any category it wasn’t mandatory to stick with only one (so I disagree with the “easy” part) like Mashi went for vocals instead of dance which showcased and put him out there as one great vocalist. At the end, I’m glad that YHS saw the potential in Junghwan, now he’s such an amazing dancer and strong vocalist 🥹 (sorry for my proud mama moment). A 50/50 performance for me would haven been that of Seunghun-Mashiho and Jeongwoo-Yeonggue. But I agree
I think the reason why yg didn't choose seunghun was he maybe didn't fit the concept that yg had for treasure. It's only my thinking And I think Wang Jyun Hao was really admirable and he deserved to be in Treasure
For me overall assessment of YG's decision was based on mental toughness and growth potential of everyone who competes. Next is the consideration of years of training, adaptability and skill. Since the first episode it was consistent. I maybe wrong. But so far we chose the same trainees everytime.
YG think hyunsuk played safe and thought that he cant win to haruto and yoonbin. YG was already eyeing junghwan to be the maindancer & center and hyunsuk to be the Main rapper thats why he was so disappointed when hyunsuk chose dance
@Marco Gennuso No Hyunsuk said he wanted a change for a challenge that's why he chose dance which was clearly a bad decision. Junghwan is a better dancer and the position they were fighting for is for a DANCER. HS should have chosen RAP instead
The thing is, he didn't do "poorly" because he chose dance instead of rap - he didn't do as well because he played it too safe. Had he chose rap instead and still played it safe, I believe YG would have given him the same result.
After mashidam left, it was hard for me to rewatch any ot12 contents. But i have to say it was fun rewatching it with you. Binge watching your ygtb reactions today. Can’t wait for the next episodes.
Wang Jyun Hao didn’t take politics into account. He could have beaten anyone else, just don’t choose the golden boy😅 I respect him. He refuses to limit himself.
I always say the only way Yedam would have not debuted is if he burned down the YG building. I can’t imagine how tense the company was trying to negotiate with him to stay.
YG just doesn’t like Seung Hun. I don’t think there is anything he could have done. Yoshi and Yoonbin’s match was cut because they included a female model on stage. They could have received hate from fans for it, so it’s for their own protection.
during the show YG keep on repeating "please look from a producer perspective". for me, to debut, skills are definitely needed. but personality and attitude are important too. I have to say watching the show objectively, I agree 95% of YG comments and decision.
I cried again in this episode T T I feel you everytime you see Seunghun too, its okay Kim Seunghun you did great and now your in CIX, but still crying in this episode T T
8:05 This are footages from the monthly assessment. every time they do a monthly assessment everything will be recorded to see the progress of the trainees throughout the month. YES. this was the first time we see this footage. YG NOT release the recording of the monthly assessment publicly
YG actually treating his leaders like that. Look at them now. GD,CL,YOON,B.I AND NOW HYUNSUK. Ygstans know Choi Hyunsuk is set already and being ready by YG that time.
Choosing an idol doesn't come with just talent. HYUNSUK did apparently play safe. He could have done better choosing Haruto/Yoon Bin as opponent for a fair play. But it's in the past now. HAHAHA They're the best leader and maknae now! OR as most people say, he has probably been chosen since before that to be the leader. Those were just trainings for him. HAHA Poor HYUNSUKIIIIEE.
In Jeongwoo vs Yeon GUe battle, YG's reasoning for choosing Yeon Gue was because his voice suited the song at that time even though YG and everybody knew that Jeongwoo has the voice, skills and technique that even rivaled Yedam. In that battle, YG judged who DID BEST AND PERFORMED BEST AT THAT MOMENT. Jeongwoo lost because Yeon Gue performed better. As YG said who suited the song best. At that moment, he is not considering the FUTURE, who is the better vocalist among the two. Because if he did, he will definitely choose Jeongwoo. YG's reasoning for choosing Jungwahn over Hyunsuk is he is looking for a FUTURE dancer, meaning even though Junghwan lacks the skills and technique, YG said it himself, at that performance, he still chooses him because he is thinking about the FUTURE. YG didn't choose Junghwan because he is the one who DID BEST and PERFORMED BEST AT THAT MOMENT, but because he PREFERS him and is thinking of his potential in the FUTURE. See the unfairness and unreasonableness of YG's judgment there. By the way, there is no rules in that battle that says you choose only what you are know at, meaning if you are a rapper, you choose rap only and you cannot choose other categories such as dance or singing. Hyunsuk will definitely choose rap if there is such a RULE. Also, there is no rule that says you can't battle younger trainees if you are a longer trainee because they are easy to beat. Because if there is, they should make it clear to all trainees then. YG should make it clear to all of them that he is looking for the FUTURE vocalist, rapper and dancer ONLY at that battle and not to showcase other skills and talents of the trainees. YG should make it clear then that there is no room for a multi-position in that battle, just choose one skill and that's it. YG was surprised and appreciated Mashi and Jeongwoo when they rap despite the fact they are known as vocalists, so why not Hyunsuk showing his dancing skill. People keep harping and judging Hyunsuk that he should choose rap instead of dance. People took it against Hyunsuk who choose Jungwahn to compete because he is younger than him and not trained longer and easier to beat. Hello people, its called SURVIVAL SHOW, their age and lack or long training shouldn't matter. They should be judged at that moment of their performance. Also, are people blind and did not see the caption that Hyunsuk is a MULTI-POSITION, his strength, talents and skills are rapping and dancing, and if not for LIE I didn't know that he could sing as well (if only people would be honest, he even sing better at some of his members in TREASURE, same with Ruto and Yoshi who are good in singing, STILL LIFE of BIGBANG is a proof of that). YG said it himself, Hyunsuk has the skills and better technique as a dancer. He just preferred Jungwhan for the FUTURE. If so Hyunsuk didn't lose because he sucks at dancing, the audience was even surprised that as a rapper, he can sing well evident by the 100 TREASUREMAKER in the audience who choose Hyunsuk. Hyunsuk didn't choose Junghwan because he is easy to beat, but because Hyunsuk want to show YG that he has other talent and skill aside from rapping just like when Mashi and Jeongwoo showed their rapping skills. Also, what is the point of giving all these trainees the CHANCE to CHOOSE which CATEGORY THEY WANT TO COMPETE and WHO THEY WANT TO COMPETE and be accused and judged by YG and the people who watched YGTB that whoever they choose to go up against is because they want it easy. Let's not be a hypocrite here people, if you are one of these trainees, you will also choose the opponent that you think you can beat in order to debut. That's why I don't judge Seungyoon if he chooses whoever he think is easy to beat. But it's definitely not Hyunsuk style. I WANT TO REMIND PEOPLE THAT HYUNSUK SURVIVED and WON 5th PLACE in MixNine without support from YG by competing fair and square to what, 70 or 100 trainees from different agencies. So accusing Hyunsuk that he belittled Junghwan and find him easy to beat is not fair to him. YG never praised, not even once and showed appreciation to Hyunsuk even when he is the only one among YG trainees who are left to represent YGE in MixNine and even if he won 5th place to debut. Even if Hyunsuk's performance was excellent, YG never praised him. YG would rather praised the other idols in which Hyunsuk at. Imagine how humiliating it would be for YG to produce MixNine and none of his trainees won at the end. YG cared enough about Junkyu's mental health/depression and his low self-confidence after he placed 35 or 37 in MixNine, enough to show it as Junkyu's back story, but never about Hyunsuk who is set to debut but got canceled at that time.
YG can be very unpredictable at times but i thought he had his own purpose for his choices.. i think he chose Junghwan not only with the reasons he mentioned but also to try and keep Hyunsuk head off the clouds or maybe to push him too his own limits.. i mean by that is in this 1:1 battle maybe he thought that Hyunsuk chose a safer option to get into Treasure 7 so he chose Junghwan with the dance performance. He might be too overwhelmed or his morale went down when got bad reviews in his previous monthly assessments. He is an ace and he can definitely be the main dancer but his forte and passion i guess lies to rapping more. I felt bad also for Junghwan even more as time goes by in this show because most of the trainees didn’t chose him as a better performer but it didn’t stopped him from getting better. Seunghun really is talented such a bummer but yeah Mashiho suits the song better. Yoshi & Hyunbin part was shortened bcoz… i think that’s better for our hearts. 😢
Hi Marco! Some presentations climbed before that is why they are not complete. If you want to see the battle between Yoshi and Yoon Bin I leave you a link, although it is not in the best quality 😔 th-cam.com/video/5O26zWUxl4g/w-d-xo.html
I agree with you regarding junhyao and the trainee's attitude. Trainees should be upfront, relentless, no limitation and fearless. I think that is the reason that treasure A hyunsuk and seunghun were not chosen by the producer they opted to choose the one that they think is easier to conquer like junghwan and mashiho. You can see also that they are desperate to win rather than confident with their talent. Both Mashiho and Junghwan are both confident . ( my opinion only).
I agree. They went after who they thought were the weakest links, the easiest in their eyes, instead of challenging themselves, pushing themselves, and going for Junkyu or Yoon Bin.
In my opinion the main producer Yang Hyun Suk wanna Hyun suk focus on his Rap potition even he is a amazing dancer tho among the trainees, and maybe hyunsuk thought junghwan level skill is below him so he can beatlybhom easily and the trainees think the same way too they think junghwan is easy to beat just looking the prev ep at their interview almost everybody want against junghwan only main producer YHS believe in junghwan and see hia potential from day 1. So yeah this ep have many plot twist and YHS main PD decision always make us upset and angry tho lol And this kind of harsh and cruel feedback from main PD YHS is his way to make trainee more tough n strong enough for thei mentally esp for Hyunsuk maim PD doing these to prepare his became the leader. He doing these for his fave trainees like BI, GD, YOON. As alwayays NO MERCY 😅😅😅
@@marcogennuso yesssss! Thats the word!! "Play safe" for hyunsuk case he maybe feel presured against haruto that one of main PD fave too so he think choose the easy one. Sadly after this ep aired junghwan got so many hates back then but thankfully YG still keep him n now he became the loved maknae hehhe. For Seunghun case i guess from the day 1 he and BX (Byong gon) image is not click with YG future planning for the group n yes he playing safe too if u look noth of them at CIX yes their concept for sexy mature image suits them perfectly compare to treasure. But yeah still broken my heart see his crying, oh wait u still have 5 more ep to go lol incoming the blood n tears nexxxttt 🤣🤣🤣
The battle between Junghwan and Hyunsuk was really the hardest for treasure makers that time. Junghwan got the hate from public view after this episode. Skillwise, Hyunsuk should win, we never understand at that moment why YG choose junghwan but then originally HYUNSUK is develop for rapping. His main position is Rap. YG must little bit dissapointed in him that he choose dance over rap. It was indeed a great lesson to him after this. Tho, HYUNSUK was an all rounder, his main skills is rap so he must showcase it. FYI. HYUNSUK was also the last member of TREASURE 7 announced as official member after this survival show.
I like yg artist but I hate YG. He have a thing for choosing talents and give good training yet sometimes his way of choosing trainee is questionable. I have watched mixnine YG didn't pass many talented idol (not all) at audition instead he choose the less talented and his reasoning was like "his company can teach them since they haven't utilize their skill and they have potential" He was impressed and show pervert expression to trainees with good visual who does cute and sexy dance so I guess visual also matters to him contrary to what he said about talents over visual. I know he looks out for unique voice, swag and vibes but still give chance to those trainee who have the right skill set of an idol. We all know yg artist has unique voice and stylistic way of singing but many of them lacks in technique and I believe it's yg fault judging after watching that show. They can still have the unique voice without giving up the good technique if they were trained properly.
@@marcogennusoI calculated the time span for you to upload reaction videos for each episode is 2-3 days so I estimate the next video for ep 6 is on 9th or 10th february, am I wrong?🧐😆
I get that many are saying YG is this and that, should have pick this trainee, this trainee is better and all that but YGTB although is a show we watched wasn't really a "show". YG was forming a new team that will represent their company for the new generation, the yardstick he uses to judge his trainees isn't uniform wherein the best in rap, dance, singing takes a spot. He is choosing who he thinks will best fit the "New YG Group" he was forming, that is why if you will check he holds the biggest percentage on the decision (50%).He can overturn any voting decision with his vote. We are merely peeking at the process in which he picks the members, and he's using people's votes as gauge. Years after, with how TREASURE is now. Many says now they see or understand why YG choose this trainee over that trainee. At the time, it stirs anger and negative feelings from fans thus some of the less trained members were bashed for having a spot at the debut group but today, many understand why those decisions have been made by YG during YGTB.
Yoonbin and Yoshi’s battle was skipped because there’s a girl involved in the performance and it might cause backlash but you can search their complete performance here
For me, Hyunsuk should have chosen RAP instead of dance, he could have won that. While Seunghun should have went for Junkyu, but I guess he is his friend and wanted to knock out Mashiho instead but the song wasn't his.
in yoshi and yoonbin, there are girls in sexy outfit? and the trainees still minors that time and it is not allowed in South Korean livestreaming etiquette, so that's why it got cut.
Why were there girls in those outfits? Were they backup dancers for the performance or something? And why even do that if they knew it was going to be an issue lol?
@@marcogennuso I don't know 😅 but if you will look up on their performance here in youtube you can see it. But for me the girl's outfit wasn't that revealing tho... it's just you know that time it's YG vs the medias up until 2020.
He played it safe he challenge the one he thought he could beat that's why YG felt he is not worthy to win ... YG wants to challenge his trainees and artist to go out of the box and not be comfortable ... it's a tough world they're going to face tougher if you're a YG artist ... you will understand as the episodes progress.
Remember the battle is dance, and hyunsuk was groomed to be rapper. Y u reacted diff after d result when i almost applauded u for seeing the weakness in the battle. Hyunsuk chose the easy way and yg dont condone such mentality.
@@marcogennuso exactly but i understand his desperation that opt him to choose the weaker battle. Sadly yg saw it differently coz for yg he wanted to toughen up hyunsuk esp since from the start for sure he already set his mind for him to lead the group. I could sense it since mixnine that yg consider hyunsuk as the leader material thats y look at him now, after all the tests and challenges, hes one hell of a leader. Coz yg grooms strong leaders to carry the group in facing the cruel world of Kpop. Esp if ur a YGA.

I love the long posts (as long as they don't have spoilers haha), so thank you! I appreciate everything you've shared! 🙏🏻🥰
@@marcogennuso I'm so sorry, I got carried away TToTT
Never apologize!! In case you haven't noticed I don't shut up in my videos 😂😂😂😂
And this comment is super true. Yg def built leadership mental to hyunsuk
Then he left the company and got called back for joining the program in Team B
(Team A was also called Silverboys from Straykids jyp vs yg)
However Noa quit and Raesung shifted his career path to be a producer before the program started.
This is really a cool fun fact everyone should know!!
Wow I love this! Thank you for sharing! Facts like these are so interesting to me!! 🔥🙏🏻🔥
Hyunsuk lost because he went for the "easy" win out of desperation and fear. YG expected he pick a rapper because that's the position he's being considered for in a debut team. He learned a lesson that the easy way may not turn out the way you expect. Also pick on someone your own size.
Yeahhhhh it definitely backfired on him!
Mashiho’s tone will always be my favorite along with haruto’s ofc ❤ plus the way mashiho always make it looks easy everytime he sings, talent for sure
I tell you, Hyunsuk is really THAT GOOD at dancing. he include in top 10 best male dancer in kpop *well according to source not google lol * 😩👏🏼 he is really an ACE. main rapper who can hit high notes and dance deliciously HAHA
Oh I believe it, this song choice and performance was just too safe to really show off his skill! 😩
@@marcogennuso back then when he BX n junkyu join survival show Mix9 just wowww this boy talent, thats why now he can proudly said he is all rounder coz damn its true 💜💜
@@marcogennuso still waiting for you upload ep.6 🏃🏻♀️
it just goes to show that everything works out in the end because seunghun and bx didn’t fit the treasure concept as much as they fit the cix music and concept: sexier, more mature, rnb. and yes, justice for yoshi and yoonbin’s full performance! there’s fancams of it online and it’s really good.
to answer your question, ygtb episodes were broadcasted live on their vlive channel every friday night. since it's live, there are no eng subs. a few hours later, they would repost to yt (with subs). so i remember crying twice over every episode 🥺
Omg haha thank you! 🥰🙏🏻
ep6 is the saddest ever prepared your mental and emotional 😭 you need a lot of tissue
from the start YG said that hyunsuk was good at delivering lyrics even seunghoon said that main PD really liked hyunsuk but hyunsuk was never in treasure 7 and always got bad feedback even though we know he does it well he's also good at leading his group, some say YG does it to test his mentality because YG will choose hyunsuk as leader
Yeah and I think YG didn't choose him cs He choose the easier way rather than choose his main weapon which is Rap. So, I thought YG really want to build his power as Leader n Rapper
Seunghun didn't want to pick Junkyu because he wanted to debut with him🥺they were trained together for many years🥺🫶🏼
I knowwww it's saaaaad but...sacrifices have to be made 😩😩
It's only my thinking
And I think Wang Jyun Hao was really admirable and he deserved to be in Treasure
23:44 As YG said He is looking for a dancer, Hyunsuk is a rapper. He’s been trained to that.
But the show makes it seem as if this was Hyunsuk's choice to dance instead of rap, and not YG's lol
By this logic Mashi should have chosen dance instead of vocals
After mashidam left, it was hard for me to rewatch any ot12 contents. But i have to say it was fun rewatching it with you. Binge watching your ygtb reactions today. Can’t wait for the next episodes.
Thank you!!
Wang Jyun Hao didn’t take politics into account. He could have beaten anyone else, just don’t choose the golden boy😅
I respect him. He refuses to limit himself.
You’re right, he just did not care lol
I always say the only way Yedam would have not debuted is if he burned down the YG building.
I can’t imagine how tense the company was trying to negotiate with him to stay.
YG just doesn’t like Seung Hun. I don’t think there is anything he could have done.
Yoshi and Yoonbin’s match was cut because they included a female model on stage. They could have received hate from fans for it, so it’s for their own protection.
Jeeeeez
during the show YG keep on repeating "please look from a producer perspective".
for me, to debut, skills are definitely needed. but personality and attitude are important too.
Yes, that footage is first time, monthly assessment before the reality show.
Thank you!
yang hyunsuk is HARSH but that's make them STRONGER and prepare there MENTALLY, outside YG there's lots of people more HASRH and hate YG
Agree

You make a great point - the song choices and the performances were just too safe. It backfired on them 🫤
I agree. They went after who they thought were the weakest links, the easiest in their eyes, instead of challenging themselves, pushing themselves, and going for Junkyu or Yoon Bin.
Which is why Jyun Hao is so admirable for going up against Yedam!! 🔥🔥
So yeah this ep have many plot twist and YHS main PD decision always make us upset and angry tho lol
And this kind of harsh and cruel feedback from main PD YHS is his way to make trainee more tough n strong enough for thei mentally esp for Hyunsuk maim PD doing these to prepare his became the leader. He doing these for his fave trainees like BI, GD, YOON. As alwayays NO MERCY 😅😅😅
I think both Hyunsuk and Seunghun played it way too safe! We know they’re stronger than what they showed! 😩
@@marcogennuso yesssss! Thats the word!! "Play safe" for hyunsuk case he maybe feel presured against haruto that one of main PD fave too so he think choose the easy one.

You spoil him at last paragrap.
Thank you for posting this because I didn't click on 'Read More' yet and now I won't! 😭🙏🏻

BinBin is lethal in YGTB .
i think hyunsuk is about 5'7-ish. he's now the shortest member after mashidam left. the three of them are about the same height
Thank you!
Yoonbin and Yoshi’s battle was skipped because there’s a girl involved in the performance and it might cause backlash but you can search their complete performance here

in yoshi and yoonbin, there are girls in sexy outfit? and the trainees still minors that time and it is not allowed in South Korean livestreaming etiquette, so that's why it got cut.
Hyunsuk is a rapper that's why YG did not chose him
But Hyunsuk didn't choose to rap - he chose to dance instead. Don’t know why lol
He played it safe he challenge the one he thought he could beat that's why YG felt he is not worthy to win ... YG wants to challenge his trainees and artist to go out of the box and not be comfortable ... it's a tough world they're going to face tougher if you're a YG artist ... you will understand as the episodes progress.
what a huge loss for yg !!! to let go mashidam...

Remember the battle is dance, and hyunsuk was groomed to be rapper. Y u reacted diff after d result when i almost applauded u for seeing the weakness in the battle. Hyunsuk chose the easy way and yg dont condone such mentality.
Because we all know what Hyunsuk is capable of. There's a lot of experience backing him up. It's not like he did terrible by any means.
