Yeah I’ve got a few Deal videos but to be fair they either start or end their journeys there. Maybe I could do a drive around the wee town?

They are called high streets because they were seen as having a higher importance than other streets in the area. 😁

How about a challenge around Dover, try Tower Hamlets, Elms Valley and Maxton! Some steep inclines, impassable places and loads of hazards!

The term “High street” was coined in the 12th century in Britain. (with the exception of Scotland) So yeah the high street is the “main road” in most towns and villages that’s used for retail and commercial businesses (shops cafe’s restaurants the post office etc). Hence why the Americans call it a “ Main Street”
However “main roads” in Old Blighty can be classed as A roads because they are full of busy traffic and connect towns and cities together! 😅oh to be in England! Scotland Wales and Ireland
