Awesome stuff, Mike! Wow, 29° 🥶 that’s hard-core 😅 this year in Seattle, we had phenomenal weather. It wasn’t drizzling or raining for a change. 😊 It wasn’t too cold even at around 4- 5 o’clock in the morning when I got there. Had some great conversations in line as well. And our record store handed out a list so once you get your number on your list, you don’t have to stand in line. Many do anyway bring chairs, blankets and stuff. I had to drive around the city to get my records. I still got a few more gonna do a video about that soon! Thanks for sharing Mike. Always love your energy and spirit, my friend.
I hope you can find a copy of the Dolores, record somewhere if you are still looking for it, so glad you got everything else, it was a great list this year something for just about everyone, have a great week, Peace!
Hi 👋 from New Zealand . I like Thin Lizzy , i like their song Dancing in the Moonlight from 1977. Whiskey in the Jar 1973 is another favorite of mine. I like your Debbie Harry from Blondie picture that you have on the wall. One of my favorite bands they are. I had their album Parallel Lines 1978 , Eat to the Beat 1979 , and AutoAmerican 1980 on vinyl back in the day. Debbie is a charismatic person . Thanks for your short and sweet video. From Carl.
I think the Thin Lizzy is the only one, of the three I showed that may have sold out, you are right, it was very popular, Thank you so much for watching, have a great week!
Awesome! Glad you had a good time and found some keepers Mike. That Thin Lizzy was definitely one I was interested in but just couldn’t swing it this time around. Have a great weekend!
Gary I had built up $100 in credit from some trades, I got up to the counter with three records, $135, I am afraid the raising price of new records is going to slow the growth of the hobby, thank you so much for watching, talk soon.
@@mikesgotthespins5894 Having that store credit on RSD is perfect timing Mike! Yeah, I thought a lot of this year’s batch was high. Shame. It will hurt the growth
Yes I was first this time, my best friend opened a record store here in 2009, I have been supporting him ever since, his store is only 10 minutes from my house so that makes it easier to be early, I am usually in the first three of four, I love RSD it's our holiday as record collectors, thank you so much for watching, Peace!
You got it! The experience of waiting in line and talking to other music lovers is really one of the best parts of Record Store Day , Thank you so much for watching!
Congrats Brother! Someone has to lead the charge, I find all the practice from waiting in line at general admission concerts comes in handy, Peace my friend, and have a great week!
Never forget chatting to Thin Lizzy’s Phil Lynott at the Marquee club in London at the bar, real nice guy, in fact met all the band briefly. Was around June 1973. They were some hairy guys back then! Boy what a noise they made for 3 musicians. It was a hot and sweaty night 😅
My son got me into the Gorrilaz and I can't thank him enough, I love standing in line and meeting new people but sometimes I'm like you in that "I'm too old" aspect. Great video
Nice! I probably didn't need to get there so early, wow, 57 that must have been a good line, I think ours was almost a block long by the time they opened at 8am, glad you got what you were after, Peace!
Great finds/haul Mike! Glad you had such a nice time! We both got one of the records, Gorillaz! 😊 I’ve had a great RSD myself, despite it being quite cold here! Roughly 40 F? I went down to ol’ Aalborg town again this year 😊 Enjoy your finds!
@@mikesgotthespins5894 Thank you. The rest of my haul? In the video 😉 I did not see everything from your haul, but I heard people looking for a couple of’em.
Thank you so much Maria, I hope you are having an awesome week, and that everything is going good, Gorillaz are so much fun, love everything about that band, Peace!
Looks like you did well and were dedicated by braving that weather. I know that a lot of people were looking for that Gandalf record. Good luck with finding that Gorrilaz record in the future.
Great picks, Mike. I love my Thin Lizzy! That Gandalf record was on my list of wants. Glad you got a copy. Gorillaz spared no expense with that package. I had 3 shits before they even opened the door. I’d have to wear a diaper to get there that early or not eat anything for 2 days 😂 Enjoy your new records. Steve
