I am very sorry for your loss. I used to quilt and loved it. Glad you are taking time for you! Read Lisa Jewel…..And Then She Was Gone…..you’ll love her books!!❤
Julieanne, sorry for your loss. Yes I quilt and sew. It is a lot of fun. I will never be hard on a person that is beginning, I still have my first quilt topper that I started for my grandson. The mistakes in that quilt topper 😂. I need to reduce it but I have decided not to. That’s my learning experience 😊. Your block looks fantastic ❤
I’m sorry for your loss. May memories of the good times grant you solace in your time of grief. I’m fairly new to knitting and have been doing battle with a hat for three weeks (I have frogged it at least 20 times because I keep winding up with ridiculously loose sections while trying to master the magic loop technique), so seeing someone on your skill level putting a piece in time out makes me not feel like such a failure. This is the first real wall I’ve hit with learning, so I was ready to throw it out a window. Thank you for being real and open with your own struggle. I think this hat can go on time out too, and maybe I’ll be better able to manage it once I’ve succeeded in something. (The -tie in quotient is pronounced like “sheh”, so it’s QUO-shehnt). Also also, The Afterword by EK Johnston is one of my favorite fantasy books of all time.
How did you find the sewing/quilting class? Also about the uneven pages in books. I’ve noticed it on many books lately. I don’t like it simply because it looks messy. 🙃. And it makes me absolutely crazy that they aren’t even. 🤪
I quilt too. Can’t sew clothes worth a darn, but quilting is my chef’s kiss 💋. I love what you said about test knitting. I struggled with a test knit and not because of the pattern, but because I had life stuff going on and couldn’t wrap my head around the stitch pattern. I tried six times and then reached out to the designer and she was awesome. Still haven’t jumped on the 4th wing train, but I’ve heard wonderful things about it. This is my first time watching your podcast and it’s delightful!
I can do some basic quilting but really want to learn how to sew clothing. I agree with the uneven pages. It’s almost like they stick together some and make it hard to turn the pages
I am so sorry for your loss. I could not finish my test Knit for another designer either, as I lost my son on tragically September 23 💔blessings and healing to you and your family through your grief.
"The Kiss Quotient" is one of my favorite books. She has two others that have returning characters from that book. I love that author.
I am also reading "Fourth Wing" right now.
YES!! I read the second one and want to read the third. It’s so good

Thank you my friend 💗💗💗
Recommend The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion; I smiled the whole way through reading that book. And it’s now a trilogy.
Oh thank you so much!!
