I think there is good value in Dart as a 2nd pick if he's available and he might even be worth getting 1st round. Geno is playing well enough to be a mentor. I'm totally in favor of getting the best OL available in the 1st round.
Kelvin Banks, Tyler Warren, Jalon Walker, Nick Emmanwori, and Jihaad Campbell would be incredible realistic picks. I hope we get some OL in FA so we don’t have to reach on one in the 1st round.
@@pandaemoniumbad Banks could be projected inside due to arm length which would lower his positional value to where we could take him. Walker likely would be gone, but Warren could last to 18 too if the Bengals and Colts opt to address their many other needs.
It would be a huge mistake to trade away Mike Macdonalds consequential draft picks the next few seasons for an injured rookie QB. He needs these to build his vision. Geno is more than capable of winning multiple playoff football games behind a decent oline and better play calling next year with a consistent defense. Which should be the goal. Fix other things before going out on a limb thinking you’re going to get better QB play than you did out of Geno with any other available QB given the current state of the o-line (guard and center specifically) and it’s rankings. No hate to any NFL player, and I appreciate his contributions to the team during injury needs, but Geno played behind Stone Forsythe at RT for critical parts of the season.
The 31m they would save getting rid of Geno could go a long way in building a solid O-line....That way whoever their new QB is won't be playing behind such a bad line.
@@skibum6220 You don't have to pay a QB the type of money Geno's cap hit will be next year which is 44m, especially for the production he had this year. I'd rather have a cheap young QB that is cheap to move off of until we find our guy at QB. Before this season a Denver Broncos analyst broke down the averages for all rookies with at least 12 games played since 2010 and their averages were almost identical to Geno's production this year. Geno's production this year was barely any better than our current 900k per year 5th round backup QB's first year as a starter. We can't be paying a QB with Geno's current production 35-45m a year, especially when he's regressing and aging. The number of QB's who have done well after age 35 can probably be counted on 1 hand.
I don't think rookies on the OL to fix it is the answer. Fine, draft some OL to develop or depth, but they need help right away - not 2-3 years from now. Free agency is the fix to help us next year, or a trade. On the bright side, Laumea looked decent when thrown in there.
5:25 Couldn't agree more. Seahawks lost their nest chance to drsft and develop the QB of the future last year. Pete's parting bird was beating Arizona and dropping outside premier QB range. Think about it, would you rather have Geno or Bo Nix for the next 5 years?
I got this feeling about dart that it might be one of those guys we'll regret not drafting.. got my fingers crossed we end up with him at the right spot. Gotta be later than the first round I think.
It doesnt matter, John Schneider is going to pick a RB, WR, DT, Linebacker. Anything but the O line or QB basically. He'll get a running back with the first pick or something stupid. Or he'll get another slot reciever
This isn't the offseason to replace Geno. Just sign him for a few years. Try to draft a QB the team likes in 2026 or 2027. Be prepared to have to trade some valuable picks to move up into 1st round QB range when the time comes.
Wish you would have asked about nose tackles, late round tight ends, and mid round corners instead of talking about guys like shadeur who we’ll never draft
I feel like none of those are needs for us. I guess cornerback would be good to get since woolen fell off but we have really good tight ends and really good tackles.
OK time to draft most powerful run blocking Guard Tyler Booker from Bama and new 3rd receiver Emeka Egbuka 4.3 40 Buckeye receiver and former Injigba teammate . We can pick those 2 up with first 2 picks and a stud Inside LB in 3rd round and roster holes are shored up. Lets roll in 2025. Geno will be QB playing for a contract extension if he earns it next year. Fire John Schneider. He has not put a good o line on the filed in 10 years now. He owns that. Not valuing o line play enough clearly.
He’s barely played what you mean he looked great when he played? 😂, he only has 1 game to evaluate and New England aren’t just going to give him away for anything
I don’t like the hype of drafting offensive lineman, I think this needs to be a free agency resolution, offensive lineman seem to get better with experience. I would go out and get best possible in the first round and keep adding talent, look what happened when we got JSN and Spoon… they weren’t huge needs but they have been outstanding picks
Move up in the draft and get a right tackle to replace Abe Lucas. I fear Abe has a chronic knee and might be able to play right guard full time. Like most Hawk fans , I believe that the O-line is one of the worst in the NFL.
So much hate for sheduer when he’s put up elite numbers his entire collegiate career behind shaky O lines but they credit game managers on loaded teams
Check him out boys, he’s supposed to be comparable to Brock Bowers,we can get good guards in round 2.Also Barner does look good but we’ll need at least 2-3 TE and Noah Fant is not worth 12 Mill !
These analysts always have to brag about getting their predictions right on a guy when they are wrong about 50 other predictions on guys like it was some sort of proof that they know what they are doing. You make 50 to 100 predictions, you are bound to get 1 right. These guys have no idea what theyre doing. They're pointless.
Trade picks and get away from Howell for Tanner McKee and free agent experienced O line. This draft is not ideal for Seattle current wants/needs. Go Hawks
There's a couple top tier guards. I would take Booker or Ratledge. After Banks, I think the offensive tackles drop off significantly. There's starters, but not future pro bowlers like Booker and Ratledge at guard.
Listening to Salk just drives me insane. He is so stuck on his opinions, that he sounds like a broken record. It does not matter what anyone else thinks, he says the same thing over and over and over. Move on from Salk and find someone who has an open mind.

Warren, Banks, & Walker are likely gone before 18th
I would add Revel to this..
@jasonpeters6600 wouldn't mind another CB forsure! This draft is literally gonna be BPA for us at 18.
My thoughts exactly this is not the year to try to fix your o line souly in the draft

@ that’s a lotta writing to say you don’t know what you’re taking about! 🤣
Love the info on draft agreement to it 💯
First Round we go Guard. Point blank period. 2nd round I May think or go QB Jaxson Dart if available. He’s a baller.

There wasn’t really much capital to trade up with without that second round pick unless you sell the farm. Hard to justify that
easily I would rather have Geno than Bo pix
Id take geno and byron murphy over bo nix yes whattt
Very happy with having Byron Murphy over a QB. I still think Geno can be the QB the next 2-3 years
no nix was picked before us and we didn’t have capital to trade up

Russell is also not a first round qb in the playoffs this year...not just Hurts
No one cares about Russ as that anymore. And Steelers do have a first round pick on their team
Yes but his true colors started popping up end of year
I would love Tez Johnson
Him or Jalen Royals would make a great replacement for Lockett
jaxson dart
Wish you would have asked about nose tackles, late round tight ends, and mid round corners instead of talking about guys like shadeur who we’ll never draft

@@Crazyfool12we need a true NT in the first four rounds….
Why would you want a mid qb pick
WR at Mizzou is a late first guy. Very explosive.
Jaxon Dart has recently peaked my interest
My favorite part of the year. Also often frustrating.
Milton would be a good pickup at qb.
We could draft Ratledge round 1 and Jared Wilson later. Center and guard already with experience playing next to each other?
Russell Wilson and Curt Cousins were drafted in the 3rd round and Tom Brady in the 6th round. They turned out to be pretty good qbs.
Purdy isn't that bad for the last pick in the draft either.
I thought Olu was pretty solid at center. Probably move on from Tomlinson, and let the rest of the guards compete if we draft or sign

I think we should trade for Joe Milton. He’s looked great when he played and there’s no way New England would want something crazy for him
Agreement 🤝 Should've drafted last year, will pay slightly more this year. 5th maybe a 4/5 swap?
He’s barely played what you mean he looked great when he played? 😂, he only has 1 game to evaluate and New England aren’t just going to give him away for anything
Joe would be cool, my big question mark is on what the colts do.

1 priority, get the O Line fixed or we will be having the same discussion next year.
Brock never seems to age.
Sark has wanted to trade DK for like 3 years
Sark?
@claytonbigsby7158 meant Salk
JAXON DART PLZ
Tyler booker & Kenneth grant
We’d be absolutely foolish to get JJ. He’s mediocre at best unless he sits for a multiple years.
4-5 drafts ago I was screaming, draft Creed Humpheys….did not happen.
Oline 99 Ray Finkle is available
Move up in the draft and get a right tackle to replace Abe Lucas. I fear Abe has a chronic knee and might be able to play right guard full time. Like most Hawk fans , I believe that the O-line is one of the worst in the NFL.
All Hawk fans feel this way... thanks John
Round two is the spot for that….coach gets his fave available defender round one….
Sheduer carried Colorado football. Michigan won despite of ji.
So much hate for sheduer when he’s put up elite numbers his entire collegiate career behind shaky O lines but they credit game managers on loaded teams
Draft Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon. Or draft Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Arizona. That's all there is to it.
There are way way more QB busts than home runs.
Take the elite TE from Penn State then draft O line.Dont reach for average O line in the first!
Some might say this would be reaching for a TE. And AJ Barner looks to be good, so, why waste a first rounder on a TE??
Total waste of draft capital…

It's sheduer's attitude that makes it not good
Jaxon dart or bust
Definitely should wait till 2026 to draft qb, I don’t know why fans are desperate for one this year, qb class is so mid and eh
I doubt that JJ McCarthy will be going anywhere......

The Hawks haven't drafted a QB in the first round since the early 90s. I think it might be time.
Too many other deeper needs….choices are really weak….
JJ? Overrated!
Dieon has never been shaduers oc or qb coach.
