Hey Omar, I made my varsity highschool team this year but I’m afraid I won’t get much playing time due to the keeper that started last year being a senior this year. I am a Junior and was brought up to play varsity last year as well believe I am a better keeper and show a much better work ethic and passion for the position but the coaches he’s seem to put him in anyway. Any advise?

Omar, I’m trying out for a team but they already have 2 decent keepers, but I believe I’m better than them, how do I prove to the coach that I’m better and don’t get played on the field

I'd train a few times to see if I've shown well enough to be the #1 (or to at the very least, be in the discussion for the #1 spot).
Once I have that information, I'd go to the Head Coach and bluntly ask them, "Do I have a serious chance to play or not?"
It's vital to get the coaches feedback, or else you're always going to be in the dark and you won't be able to make calculated decisions!
      Hope that helps Judah,
      Omar

    Hello
At Activation 4, why do you have a pass after the first shot that goes right beside the keeper, shouldn't you learn them to pick up the passes before it goes into a dangerous area and could possibly lead into a goal?

It’s used so that the keeper can follow the ball with his eyes and then switch his eyes to omar shot. It simulates a game realistic cross back. It wouldn’t be as realistic since the keeper would turn immediately to Omar .

What was your thought process on having them pass the ball into a small goal and then you shooting with a different ball as opposed to passing directly to you and shooting with the same ball?

Zach Watson I think after rewatching the session back, I would have received the pass and then shot.
      Some context though:
      1. We had a session a few days prior where all of our 1-2 touch finishing was off. As a result, the guys didn’t get the reps they needed and it was a rough session overall. So, I decided to add a more controlled element to it to help the guys build some rhythm.
      2. That being said, I put the mini goals there because I wanted the gk not working to work on their passing/touch. It would keep them engaged and give the gk a pass to track.
Lots of context, but Hope that all made sense!
