  • Loyce Harpe Park in Mulberry FL, (Lakeland), also previously known as Carter Road Park is a trail that offers everything a rider could ask for. From easy green rated trails, to black diamonds and even a dreaded red! There are jump lines, technical climbs, and knarly spines. Come and enjoy the ride!

    Great video showing the whole trail system. Love carter road. I wish I could ride out there more often. Traffic for me is bad driving from St Cloud but you got it worse from Orlando for sure. The tolls suck too.

      Hey Rob, glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah traffic back to Orlando is the biggest deterrent for me riding anything south of me, including Alafia and Balm. Hope you get out there soon!

    Went there yesterday for the first time and I’ve never woken up so sore the next day! And of course I stuffed it into the horizontal root at the top of the wooden climb on Wash Out when I realized to late that I needed a monster manual to clear.
    Way more consequence opportunities here than anywhere else I’ve ridden in Florida!

      Hey Red, I love that you loved it! I love hearing the stories of people’s experiences on these trails. It’s been so fun to document them so people know they’re out there and what to expect. Glad all you got was soreness. Thanks for the watch and be safe out there!

    Another great video! That just has to be further than 7 miles! I think from the last finger to the end must have been 3 or 4 miles! Keep up the good work!

      Thanks Chip!, just going by Trail Forks and unfortunately my watch died with the gps so I had no way to tell.

      road here recently, according to the map at the trailhead; a FULL lap is more than 15 miles.

    Greetings! Living near Sebring FL I like and follow your channel. I especially enjoy finding out about all these cool trails within a few hours from me. Can you please tell me what kind of bike you are riding? Love the color! I got me a ‘23 Roscoe 7 in the Miami Green as that color works well here in Florida😎

      Hey Ruben so glad you like the video and the channel! I ride a Yeti SB 100. It’s a great bike! Roscoe’s are cool too.
      I’ll be doing a few more this summer, working on some more of the motorcycle stuff at the moment. Plenty of good places to ride in Florida, you just have to be willing to drive. Have fun out there and be safe!

    Lmao 20:00 last year on New Year’s Day I fell and fractured my hand on the drop and flipped my bike in the water

      Sorry to hear that Chandler, that is precisely why I walked a couple of those spots. I feel very confident in my skills, but being alone, and more “mature” let’s say… some times you’ve got to make a business decision. Glad you’re healed up and back on the trail! Thanks for sharing you’re story, glad you got a kick out of the video.

    Hi and thanks for the content,
    My son and I are new to MTB and plan to go to Carter Rd this upcoming weekend, how far is the ride into the blue and green trails from the parking lot?

    • @2SixCyclesports
      @2SixCyclesports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi M. Glad you enjoyed the video. If you don’t have the Trailforks app on your phone I highly recommend it. It’s a great resource for finding trail systems and also navigating trails while riding. It’s like gps on your bike!
      There are lots of blue and green options, green starting right from the parking area then plenty of options from there’s

      @@2SixCyclesports awesome, thank you. I do have the Trailforks app, I hope to learn how to use it before I need it 😂, I have been playing with the free version.

    What handlebar mount do you use for your phone?

    • @2SixCyclesports
      @2SixCyclesports  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Seth. I don’t use a mount for my phone. That stays in my pocket. The video is taken using a GoPro and a chest mount. Thanks for watching!

    I notice on some of these trails you start on the left and come back on the right. Is this correct? New MTBer here. Just trying to learn proper etiquette. Id assume we would have to start on the right since we live in America and drive on the right side. Thats my logic. Not sure how it works on trails. I see these are super narrow and i dont wanna mess someone up if im going the wrong way .
    I recently went to Chuck Lennon and noticed at the entrance you take the left blue on certain days and on others you have to take the right blue. 1 way trails.

    • @2SixCyclesports
      @2SixCyclesports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Most trails are one way travel so you ride where the best line is. There are some two way trails, usually connectors or routes out from the parking lot. There typically, you still ride the best line but need to be aware of oncoming traffic. When there is oncoming traffic you would pass on the right, just as in traffic on the road. No need to stay strictly to that side for the whole ride. Good question!

      @2SixCyclesports there was a cool one you took where it was like a mini wall ride over the water as it pulled a 180 going back.. But you started on the left. So I was just making sure that was okay. So technically you can start on the left, when you finish it, immediately do a 180 and ride it starting from the right?
      Your videos are sick. I think you did the Markham woods one I commented on. I thanked you for it, it let me know to probably skip it. Which I did and went to Chuck Lennon. My wife was not happy LOL. Those blues were rough for her. I opt not to try the black called red panther. I didn't want her to totally hate life. She's not into anything extreme sadly and her MTB isn't really a MTB. It's a duel suspension Ozone.
      I just watched your Mount Dora video. Wow I need to go back. I stuck to the green and tried gravity destroyer while she chilled at the bench. I missed all those off shoots like pure adrenaline.
      I need her to download strava. She can stick to the green and I can take the off shoots and meet back up with her on the green.
      Trying to get my cardio on your level LOL. So I can hit the bigger parks like Santos and Alafia

      @@respond_code3 yes, actually you are right about that, and no, I believe I may even say it as I'm riding that I was confused on one line going out and did ride on the wrong side accidentally, I think I may have actually changed back halfway. Those "fingers" as they call them there are definitely one way.
      I'm happy to hear you're liking the channel. Keep watching and keep riding!

    It's so funny watching dirt roadies try to ride trails, "I'm going to make this climb, but I'm going to skip all the fun features on the way down."
