You'll never see the likes of these amazing athletes & competions again. 90s/2000s were special. So happy to have been there to see it. Love the roundtable interviews. Brings back great memories. Thank you Dennis!
This is just the best bodybuilding content out there and it's not even close. Chris and Dennis ask such great questions and have incredible knowledge of past and present bodybuilding, so it just makes it really awesome to watch.
Speaking of the Olympia. Perhaps could Muscle and Fitness have a Olympia watch party with Dennis James, Fouad Abid and Phil Heath, or get that line up for the actual Olympia commentary if Dennis James has any contacts 🤣🤣
Love every time Jay talks about 93 teen nationals I did that show. Jay and I were the only kids from Massachusetts chris help him and Matt D.helped me and Chris and matt were roommates at Springfield college together when they were younger I knew Jay was going to be the man from the jump
Jay's always stuck out to me not for him winning 4mr olimpians.but the manner in which hes won them.ti come 2nd to the best bber of all time by far in ronnie c.and to not give up and finally beat him. And then to lose the title, and ppl say his career was over.to come back the following year with his best package to date, winning the title back,is something a movie could be made of.his warrior, never quit, mentality is something I'll always remember him by above anything else
The champs of the 90s will never been replaced ..The best time for me as bodybuilding...I never get enough of the stories.:) ..By the way Chris has the best laugh of all the time and each time he laugh I laugh and my stress and anxiety lvel goes down a bit...His laugh is my remedies for my condition...Thank you Chris...Dennis what are you drinking? vodka and cranberry lol Jay is the king of the kings ...
How the hell did anyone who interviewed Chris before this not get into his career as a whole?? I mean he fought through a crazy situation. In an induced coma for a month and half. Crazy.
I got to see Vic Richards a few times, he trained a few times at my gym when he was up in the Seattle area and guest posed in Spokane once. The lower body and arms were insane but the lats were super high. if he ever got peeled he would have never been able to stand next to the top guys of that area. I was at that Chris, Cutler battle at the Arnold. I would have went with Chris that year.
I don’t think Dexter used Jason Huh or Jeff Brown’s wide grip pull down bar for over265 for reps?! you get a certain wide back thickness to your back training that heavy 😀
In the 1990's the NY Pro and other IFBB Pro shows would give the winner $10,000. Here we are 25-30 years later, and the prize money is still $10,000. Why is that? I can't wrap my head around it.
2009 Jay was one of the best bodybuilder to grace the stage; Dominated He is probably right; should have retired and maybe he could have avoided injuries.
You look great Jay your a perfect example of what happens when you don't take steroids everybody's looking for a quick fix and they see the big picture there's no easy fix for hard work and dedication I want to see nick Walker win I think his time is close but what the fuck do I know
Facts right there from.cutler!! Ramy needs to come in better then last year if he wants to win it, He needs to improve his physique Cus if he really comes in like last year, Guys like Labrada and curry, or even nick walker will take it, And oh.. Let's not forget about hadi
10k back then your talkin 20/30 years they pay isnt much better now more money better athletes it’s not rocket science is it 🤑 great show best podcast around at this time 💪🏻👊🏻
Can we address the elephant in the room when you compare old to new. Are the drugs any different? Maybe not the base compounds but could it be that experience and experimentation is evolving? The looks are way different.
01:21:35 I have to laugh every time a guy/gal wants a cheat meal to "boost metabolism" like some how low calories will make clen/t3/AAS/cardio/deficit magically stop working lol.
You guys from 60-2005 were all just a story to me never seen anything of them only in magazines today’s guys are everywhere making more money on Instagram than bb 🤑 #moneytalks
🙋♂️BROOOO im telling 👏YOU 😑IF……..I……EVER…….DID……SPECIAL JUICE😐 I would be MR.olympia 🤔HOWEVER let bring up my 🦵 LEGS i think i could do major damage as a NATURAL bodybuilder in CLASSIC PHYSIQUE with the steroid users ✋I BELIEVE
This year's Olympia is difficult from 4th place tenth place.. But this is my new attempt Hadi Ramy Curry Jacked Lunsford Walker Hunter Blessing Dauda Krizo ................... Valliere Bonac😔
I truly think the only current bodybuilder who would fit in the late 90's early 2000's lineups would be Iain Valliere. The conditioning, the graininess, and the size would place him close to where he is now. Nick Walker is too short and stumpy and Hunter, Brandon, Ramy all have terrible condition.
You'll never see the likes of these amazing athletes & competions again. 90s/2000s were special. So happy to have been there to see it. Love the roundtable interviews. Brings back great memories. Thank you Dennis!
I’m so grateful for these podcasts. I watch them as soon as their uploaded. Its very entertaining. Thank you
Jay is just the man, he’s so damn humble it’s mind blowing. That’s what makes him even greater
“The Road to the Olympia” were the best videos. Haven’t seen these 3 stars since then. Love it…More funny stories!
This is just the best bodybuilding content out there and it's not even close. Chris and Dennis ask such great questions and have incredible knowledge of past and present bodybuilding, so it just makes it really awesome to watch.
Keep them coming DJ
Speaking of the Olympia. Perhaps could Muscle and Fitness have a Olympia watch party with Dennis James, Fouad Abid and Phil Heath, or get that line up for the actual Olympia commentary if Dennis James has any contacts 🤣🤣
That would be a good crew for commentary! Add Jay Cutler to the mix too 👌🏼
10:16 That what makes Jay GOAT in many ways🙏.
Love the group interviews!! Best around!!
10:58 Dennis putting Chris on blast 😂
Love every time Jay talks about 93 teen nationals I did that show. Jay and I were the only kids from Massachusetts chris help him and Matt D.helped me and Chris and matt were roommates at Springfield college together when they were younger I knew Jay was going to be the man from the jump
RIP Josh
I'm in my 40's. I started bodybuilding after I found a Muscletech VHS video with Jay, Chris, Dexter, and Branch. Watched it non-stop lol.
Fantastic episode. Round table of the Legends! Definitely need Lecrone on there with you guys!
💪🏆🥇😎
I LOVE THIS Podcast!!! Always well done

Podcast with Jay and Ronnie would be brilliant, if you could work your magic Dennis👍

Great show guys.
I love these old bodybuilding stories.

Great content
Amazing I never new why Chris left body building…. Great show guys
How the hell did anyone who interviewed Chris before this not get into his career as a whole?? I mean he fought through a crazy situation. In an induced coma for a month and half. Crazy.
I know that since 05
I never heard it either. Most of these guys don't do a good job
My favorite one yet 🙌
Fun to hear these stories I remember hanging out at Chris place when he was comming back was a looong day of partying. He’s hilarious
I really enjoy the dialogue Dennis James brings . It’s real talk - round table muscle 👍💪
Chris talking about table top jumps and bmx made my day 🙏💪👊🔥
I am really enjoying these old school round tables!!
What's going on full time bodybuilders!🤩
Dennis, Nick Trigili has been smashing you lately !!
thanks for the timestamps
Kevin would have been a great addition to the conversation
Flex too
I think if nick w. Comes in peeled he's gonna be ramys biggest threat this year.
90s/2000s bbing > 2022 bbing
WTF that 98 picture of Dennis is iconic 👌
400k is not much compared to other sports. Plus it hasn't changed since 2015 in line with inflation. They should be paying 500k now.
Saw great camaraderie between Iain and nick last year
Very important advices to the today athletes… i think! Once again Congratulations Dennis!!!
Dennis why does your head looks so big 😂🤣😂😂
Jay is looking more and more like Will Ferrell every day. lol!
I got to see Vic Richards a few times, he trained a few times at my gym when he was up in the Seattle area and guest posed in Spokane once. I didn't know he had only been training 2yrs before the teen nationals. Thats absolutely insane

Wrong title, theres Chris Cormier is there too not only Jay.
Jay say no more bodybuilding was on a different level back then.
You look great Jay your a perfect example of what happens when you don't take steroids everybody's looking for a quick fix and they see the big picture there's no easy fix for hard work and dedication I want to see nick Walker win I think his time is close but what the fuck do I know

Lou Zwick called everyone late at night lol
Anyone know a good forehead exercise?
Chris Cormier took the Sun at the beach drying up
Chris had the better back and midsection 👍
how about bonac...
1:08:30 nothing to expose 😅
Can we address the elephant in the room when you compare old to new. Are the drugs any different? Maybe not the base compounds but could it be that experience and experimentation is evolving? The looks are way different.
When Jason wouldn't blink sometimes I would think he froze.
1:09 CHris lol..
great
That so weird when you can't get off the floor for whatever reason. Didn't know about the serious health issues.Wow
01:21:35 I have to laugh every time a guy/gal wants a cheat meal to "boost metabolism" like some how low calories will make clen/t3/AAS/cardio/deficit magically stop working lol.
Dennis - watermelon head
Never skip head day
I lost respect for Dennis after Rami situacion. Palumbo was right, he said : Dennis jump to get a contract for no reason, cuz he knows big Rami .
Music Acc agreed me 2 , Dennis very shady person
You guys from 60-2005 were all just a story to me never seen anything of them only in magazines today’s guys are everywhere making more money on Instagram than bb 🤑 #moneytalks
You were as big as him but Ronnie had detail …. Lol 😂 . Jay took a shot at Dennis lol 😂
