    I've never considered river carp fishing before and I have the Trent on my door step in Nottingham! Loved the video and will give it a bash.

      Thank you Michael I believe there are a lot more carp around Nottingham and further up river. I am suffering here due to a lack of night fishing which I will look to rectify next year.

    It's official. Even when you add a great soundtrack and cinematography, you can't make catching bream look exciting. I'm sorry your landing net went through that.

    • @waitingfortheweekend2441
      @waitingfortheweekend2441  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately Chris catching bream is something you have to get used to fishing the river, there are plenty in there. No mater how big a bait you use you will still catch them if there on it

      So jealous of you I love my French river fishing and trying to replicate that here in the uk is more difficult. There are plenty of rivers that hold carp but finding them is a different story

      @@waitingfortheweekend2441 No one said it was easy haha. Same story over here too, it ain`t france. Sometimes I spent 3 or more Days in pursuit of one big Fish. Maybe i`ll capture some of my fishing on video and put it up here in the future.

      markmason13 thanks mark, it’s been difficult with the type of videos I like to make, no french river fishing and lakes rammed so limiting stalking. Had a few good ideas different to the norm on TH-cam but with the Covid situation and everywhere so busy I’m having to rethink

    Nice video,but if you’re considering weight saving by using 8ft rods why are you using massive bucket spool reels .

    • @waitingfortheweekend2441
      @waitingfortheweekend2441  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not bothered about the weight so much it’s the pack down side of the rods. The 8 ft recons are tiny. The reels are what I had and the Diawa 5000t is not a big heavy reel for a “big pit reel” it’s quite compact.
      The other reason is I use a 20lb reel line and don’t like the way it comes off a baitrunner size reel. That’s not on the cast but just dropping in the margins and laying down some slack it coils badly

    • @streetcat1510
      @streetcat1510 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waitingfortheweekend2441 Fair enough. I’ve been using 20lb line for years now for my Thames carp/ barbel fishing and found my present line,Fox Soft Steel , is by far the most supple low memory mono I’ve used.

    Really good film. Interesting content. Well shot, well edited. Voice over just right. Even the music was nice! One negative. The video quality really wasn't great. At the start it was so bad I could only watch on small screen. Don't know what set up you use but it isn't doing your content justice which is a real shame.

    • @waitingfortheweekend2441

      Thanks for the feed back mate appreciate that I think you may be watching it in 380p if you click on the 3 dots in the top right corner you can change the setting to 1080p. It’s shot at 1080p on a canon 80D so should be pretty good up to tv size. Let me know how you get on if you don’t mind 👍

      @@waitingfortheweekend2441 sure thing, will do. I was watching on a big monitor and when it was windy the picture was all distorted! Of it was done on an 80d then it should be fine. I'll look tomorrow.
