We are back with 4th episode of #switzerland tourism video. This time we are in #grindelwald & we are gonna cover below points in our video:
How to reach Grindelwald from Interlaken
Our Journey to Grindelwald First Switzerland by the cable car / Gondola ride

We will try different adventure activities in Grindelwald First like Grindelwald First Flyer, Grindelwald First Glider, Grindelwald First mountain cart, Grindelwald First trottibike.

Hike to #Bachalpsee lake
#grindelwald is a popular resort town in the Bernese Oberland region of #switzerland .
It Is populated by skiers in the winters and hikers in the summer.
Grindelwald - First is located at the top of the mountain at height of 7111 feet above the main sea level and can be reached by cable car from Grindelwald. The scenic gondola ride from Grindelwald to First takes around 25 minutes & the views along the way are simply phenomenal.
Journey to the top has 2 intermediate stops:
The First Stop called #Bort, at 5131 feet and the second stop named as #Schreckfeld, situated at 6415 feet. Here you will find some of the nicest hiking trails of Switzerland.
Grindelwald First is also known as Top of the adventure, as you can try different adventure activities like:
🛩✈ First flyer or First glider (which are available in summers as well as in winters) and costs 31 CHF each.
🚲🚵or you can rent mountain cart or Trottibike (only available in summers) to travel between the stations & it costs 21 CHF each.
Above all you can experience the magnificent First Cliff walk presented by Tissot.
There are restaurants as well were u can enjoy the meal while enjoying the beauty of Swiss alps.
You can also hike to Bachalpsee lake which is at 1 hr walking distance from First Cliff.

How long it takes to complete entire activities in grindelwald - is it a full day activity
It takes half a day if you just visit the top.
But more than half a day if you do adventure activities like First flyer or mountain cart bikes. Time also depends how long is the queue for the adventure activities.

Great detailed coverage. Taking Notes for our upcoming trip may be in Apr/May or August. I see the place was not crowded at all. what month did you visit?. Gonna watch all your Swiss Vlogs. Our plan min 7 days stay in I/Laken and may be extend to 10 days since we want to see every thing we can.
We visited in July 2022.. And during that time covid was just over so it was not that crowded.. However i heard last year it was very crowded during peak summers.. If you need help with planning itinerary and pass comparison for you then you can reach out to us on Instagram.. We do it in exchange of a small fee as it requires our time and efforts..

@13.20 those are not gutters they sub surface drains that arrests landslides like in Uttarakhand we are witnessing a increase in such disasters

Nice! Isn't Grindewald 1st also the first stop to get to Junfro -top of Europe via tiger express? We are headin there next month, but dind't realize Grindewald station had so many stairs to get to the gondolas. Is there elevators for elders or those with disabilities?
Hello, I think you are confused with Grindelwald & Grindelwald First . Grindelwald First & Jungfraujoch - top of europe are two different mountains & you can't travel from First to Jungfraujoch directly ..however you can travel from Grindelwald terminal to Eiger glaciers station via eiger express & then to Jungfraujoch via railways. Hello ,Glad it was helpful..and yes July August are peak season so there might be long queues, however it is manageable so don't worry about it..

Does Berner Oberland Pass cover grindelwald first activities? Is there any discount with regional passes?
adventure activities are not covered in any pass and no discount on them.. You can also check on their respective website..
How many hours was the whole plan and where did u keep the bags when u were in first flyer? What time did u start from interlaken ost

Hi wanted your fair opinion on whether we should go to Jhungfrou or spend the time at Grindelwald first
Both has very different experience and cannot be compared.. However if you are planning to visit mt Titlis or matterhorn glacier paradise then you can easily skip Jungfraujoch as these 3 have some what similar experience.. Hope that helps

Yes, One way ticket price is 32.00 chf from Grindelwald to First.
