Our story today is about a typical day on the homestead. Before the sun is up, we are taking care of the animals. Feeding, cleaning water bowls, turning the ducks loose to free range, feeding fish, giving chickens scratch seed, looking at what our garden needs for the day, whether it’s watering, inspecting for bugs, removing damaged leaves or addressing any issues. Next is processing what was picked from the garden, and preserving it for it as best we can at the time. Meal prep for evening meal, and sometimes a desert. Next is a little family time before putting the critters up before or close to sunset. Next unwinding with the dogs for some sanity, and maybe a little fishing with the neighbor friend.
