A terrible fire broke out in the Karail slum of Banani, one of the densely populated areas of the capital. The incident took place at around 4.30 pm on Sunday. Later, a total of 9 units of the fire service brought the fire under control in an hour's effort. No casualties were reported. 60 houses were burnt down. The Fire Service Department could not confirm the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
রাজধানীর অন্যতম ঘন-বসতিপূর্ণ এলাকা বনানীর কড়াইল বস্তিতে ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকান্ডের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। রবিবার বিকেল ৪.৩০ মিনিটের দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। পরে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের মোট ৯টি ইউনিট এক ঘণ্টার প্রচেষ্টায় আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। এতে কোনো হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটে নাই। পুড়ে গেছে ৬০টি ঘর।
