- Dallas Isabel Lopes is here! It's taken a month for me to edit this video because I've just been taking it all in! They say the newborn stage flies by & yup, it sure does. I cannot believe she's already 4 weeks old!
This was such an overwhelming/crazy/beautiful/exhausting/exciting experience, WOMEN ARE SO STRONG! I'm so sad we were not allowed to film the pushing, mostly for my sake because I wanted to be able to look back at it, but oh well, we got everything else! My husband did so good at capturing these moments, we now get to relive this day, minus the contractions! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
You never leave a 10cm woman during delivery alone and not tell her not to push. This is considered abusive labor. But mama, you rock !!! Strong woman! Congrats!!
I wanted to cry! I still listened to my body and pushed during each contraction haha, I was prepared for any nurse in the room to delver whether they liked it or not haha!
With my last pregnancy I told a nurse "I need to push!" She said "don't push the doctor isn't ready" I looked that nurse right in her eyes and said "I'm pushing!" When your body is ready it's ready and I don't understand how they can tell you not to do something your body is already doing on its own
With my 2nd baby I had the same thing happen. The nurse actually made me press my legs together and lay on my side to keep me from pushing my baby out. It was like torture. I did this for 20-30 minutes all the while I was pushing with every contraction because I could not control it. I was so relieved when the doctor finally showed up. With my 3rd baby I was not gonna have it. When I needed to push I pushed I wasnt waiting on anybody. My 3rd baby was delivered by my nurse.

Hearing that pisses me off to no end. Medical care is supposed to be helpful. This is not good and dangerous for mom
And baby and no wonder more and more hospital deliveries are ending up in C-sections. Idiotic.

I have never seen a sweeter husband reaction to a pregnancy reveal I would watch it a thousand times and same when he looks at baby girl in his arms, warms the whole soul.
10/21 is the day I miscarried. They say when someone is lost, someone is also born. So happy for you guys and your little blessing ❤️

Them telling you not to push is absolutely absurd, and dangerous. If you need to push you NEED to push. Anyone who tells you to hold it in should be fired. Ugh I hate to hear anyone who goes through that. Anywhoooo, Your baby is beautiful, congratulations 🎉
Sometimes they do that in order to avoid having the mother tear her perineum.
Apparently the doctors were busy with another delivery. Was she supposed to push the baby out by herself?
Agreed. It can harm baby and mom not to allow the baby put when the body starts pushing.
Many women accidentally deliver alone, so it’s not necessarily going to go all wrong just because the doctor’s not available. Just go with what your body needs to do.
They might have you pant a little to slow it down (to avoid tearing), but that’s different from telling you to not push at all for several minutes.

Its nice to see how husbands support their wife's during labor i am pregnant with baby no.5 and i delivered all 4 alone with no1 but the nurses by my side so this makes me happy and sad. Knowing i will have to go through this again alone.

I had a friend who pushed when they told her not to/to stop pushing and she tore her cervix and needed an emergency c section (got bad infections when healing) 😭😩
Yes i agree there's nothing worse! Its not like they told her not to push because she wasnt dilated.. i understand that.. but they told her to delay because the dr.s couldnt be in the room. Which i understand that as well, but theres no stopping when your ready thats for sure.
Exactly, the contractions are pushing for themselves, I couldn't willingly stop it. It's like someone telling you to stop throwing up.

Right. With my first baby I was pushing because I was fully dilated and had the urge to push. But then a nurse came in and told me to stop pushing because another mother needed the delivering doctor more.😒

I also have PCOS and I'm now pregnant with my second. I found that I had to take progesterone for the entire first trimester after having 4 miscarriages. It takes finding the right OB for your journey. Much pregnancy dust being sent your way.

The saaame thing happened when my first was born, except it wasn't because of an emergency somewhere else.. it was bc my doctor hadn't arrived at the hospital yet! A nurse was literally holding my baby's head in, preventing her from coming out. It was the absolute worst!!

That’s when you have your partner step in and shove the nurse out of the way! Your body can be permanently damaged from that and it’s so dangerous for the baby too.
I know that the nurses are the ones that are with you most of the time and the doctor only comes in when you are ready to push but if the baby is coming out the nurse can deliver your baby. We had this discussion the last time I gave birth, the nurse was telling us she has delivered babies when the doctor didn’t make it. Obviously they would rather the doctor be there but to push the head in is ridiculous.
Congratulations!! She is beautiful!! The doctors told me to not push with my youngest..it’s honestly out of our control, our body does what it does..isn’t it so amazing?!!!😊😊

I find it weird they told you to stop pushing, in Australia they don’t do that.. they have to go on the mums pace not the other way around..
second of all, they take the baby for an hour?? Again in Australia they don’t do that they do all the tests in front of you. If they do take the baby for what ever reason usually the dad go’s with baby while mum gets a rest. It’s cruel to tell a mum to stop pushing.. when I had to push .. there wouldn’t have been a chance for me to stop.. I’m sorry you had to go through that... 💗

Yes, America seems to have some weird rules. I’m in Australia too. The only time my doctor told me not to push when I was 10cm dilated was because I had the epidural and had no pressure/feelings to push anyways. It was just to help my girl slowly drop more. I only pushed for like 10 minutes and she was out. No tears or anything.

I had my daughter at UCI and they also didn’t let us film. So upsetting! They also gave me way too many cervical checks. Literally a line of students practiced on me. It was an awful experience. I’m sorry your experience with them was a little bumpy too, but wow, what a wonderful job you did and what a beautiful baby! No epidural even! Amazing!!!!

Awww congratulations! My baby boy was born the same date last year and my labour was also very quick and also didn't have an epidural although I felt I wanted it 😅 because of the pain but my plan was also to go all natural if possible. So I was very happy that God enabled me to do so. Many congratulations again you have a lovely baby girl 👶🏻

I'm 37+4 and my husband is in the military so he hasn't been able to be with me for my whole 3rd trimester, and he won't be there when our daughter is born. It has me all sad, but it was so beautiful to see your family and see your husband bonding with baby ❤

How can they tell you to not push when you are ready and then turn around and threaten to use the vacuum because her heart rate was dropping? That's so messed up. That hospital gives me bad vibes.

The doctor has to supervise delivery because of protocols... if something bad were to happen because de ob wasn't there... so yes this is messed up, but she had no one else to supervise/help her... Have a midwife with YOU ONLY and she would have pushed when the time was right.
