- Skull, check. Spoon, check. Forged from stainless steel and thoroughly cleaned and polished, this table spoon can be machine washed and used like any factory made spoon.

I'm metal artisan Jaakko Rajala and I forge and fabricate delicate and artistic objects from steel and stainless steel. The products I show on these videos are of my own design. I wish to inspire other makers and crafters - but most importantly to entertain any viewer who happens to stumble on my videos. I hope you enjoy your time here!
Just found your channel, subscribed after watching 3 hammer blows. Very good stuff man!
Having a vise on a stand to hold your work on the anvil - absolute stroke of genius! Definitely going to adapt that to my workshop.
Keeping all necessary tools close at hand is good for efficiency. 😉
Очень здорово! Привет из Санкт-Петербурга 🖐
Kiitos! Terveisiä Turusta.
Very nice work -- both the forging and the filming.
You're amazing. I'm so trying to make some spoons 👍😁😃 just got done watching all your videos. Loved them all ❤️
What's a matter with you Jakkoo! You some kind of freak! No smith can be so freakishly talented!
My mom also called me a freak and locked me in the basement. Luckily it happened to be an old blacksmith shop so I've been there ever since!
@@JaakkoRajala They're going to make a movie about you, aren't they.
@@JaakkoRajala and another thing why are you so mysterious! Even your name is mysterious.
@@JaakkoRajala and don't tell me you find true artistic form in reverend silence. Not buying that artist mumbo jumbo.
Jaakko is "okkaaj" spelled backwards that is an ancient Finnish word meaning "the one who finds the inner golden ratio in solitude".
I love your style. I think its cool that every blacksmith has their own way of doing things, aside from the fundamental techniques. Excellent work as always, Jaakko.
Very cool!!!
Well done sir!
Great job
so cool!
Really enjoying your videos. Are you planning on doing more?
All the best
Andy
Thank you!
I've been busy with other work so I haven't had time to shoot anything. I'm also a bit uncertain about my next forging projects because I'm not too interested in making videos about some basic stuff.
It might still take a while before I publish something new but I'm trying to keep this channel alive.
@@JaakkoRajala Fair enough Jaakko, I know the feeling only too well.
Best of luck with your work. I look forward to your next video.
All the best
