Saronen Irama Baru - "Lorongan"

Saronen music is a specialty of Madura, a long, flat island just off the north coast of East Java. Often played to accompany Madura's famous bull races, saronen combine interlocking gongs, cymbals, and drums with an instrument itself called saronen, a double reed wind instrument with relatives around the world: zurna in Turkey, suona in China, and shehnai in India.
The group is Irama Baru, playing the classic piece "Lorongan."
