This comment is an example of what PhD psychologists call the "halo effect," giving more credit to Paul than he probably deserves He's just a smart energetic dude who's interviewed a ton of people on their startups It's still impressive! Just not as magical or hero worship-y as you're making it sound. Ron Conway, Andreessen, Khosla, and Mike Moritz are definitely up there, too. I guess late stage investing is a while different ball game. Fine, Thomas Korte, then
Wow it’s crazy how ideas can change your life with the right execution. Ryan Petersen has proven that. Here he’s sitting there asking for investments and now he’s turning down $800mill valuation. Life.. it’s interesting!
Idk why it should matter, since he's hard working, experienced, smart, well connected, and still seems pretty energetic. But Sam definitely looks older now. And I think he hasn't written / had to write code in forever, so he probably got dumber unfortunately I'm sure his people skills are better these days, though. Less hungry for new projects, ambitions, etc. though
lol clearly you won't be running a multi billion dollar company in the future. I know its slim but some people who are watching this video probably have some chance. You have none.
PG is definitely the greatest angel investor in the world. He sees the problem from a very special angle and he could ask very inspiring questions.
