That 115 was great man, can't imagine how good that felt after all those sessions and a rough shark encounter last ep. Just shows your patience sticking it out, getting the bite and then keeping it calm when the net was messed (as usual). Good to see it swim off as well. I've heard of tagged flathead with ripped gill arches and blood everywhere swim off and being recaptured in a year, they're much tougher than us that's for sure. Just wondering what reel you were running, it seemed like a super quick unit picking up the line when the fish swam straight at you. Cheers
115 Bowls I like it mate well deserved you’re putting in the hard yards! It’s crazy how much a 120 will be so much bigger and wider considering it’s only 5cm.
@@jjktmk14 Thanks mate. We are looking at around Mackay, Proserpine, Innisfail or Daintree area. Basically an area for both Estuary and access to Reef. Really Appreciate the reply!.
@@mrkanangra it seems to fish best on neap tides as there’s a hell of a lot of run on the bigger tides. Fish can be pretty much anywhere in the river from the mouth all the way up so a decent sounder with side scan will help you a lot. Biggest I’ve seen caught in there is a 140cm (yes that’s not a typo 140cm) took 2 guys to land it.
I like the motorguides mainly for the responsiveness and how quiet it is in comparison. I’m not sure about the brand new minn kota’s but yeah I liked these motoroguides over the older minn kota’s
You are amazing at Barra fishing, nice fish, keep up the good work😊

How do you rate the motorguide mate? Better than MinnKota?

Oooo yeah
Bowly. I love ya mate. But if you don’t learn to sort that net out beforehand, I’m gonna go insane.
Can’t make any promises 😂😂
@@bowlysfishingit’s funnier as you had it all ready at the first spot
