Bach Easter Concert, Suite in E flat Major for Cello Solo BWV 1010, played by Annabel Hauk

Aufgenommen im wunderschönen und friedlichen Innenhof des Kreuzgangs im Kloster Blaubeuren (Baden-Wuerttemberg), welches 1085 vom Benediktinerorden gegründet wurde.
Ich widme diese Aufnahme all denen, die Musik lieben und die Einsamkeit überwinden möchten, der wir derzeit ausgesetzt sind.
Danke an die Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, welche das Cello von G.B. Grancino, Mailand, um 1690 aus dem Deutschen Musikinstrumentenfonds, zur Verfügung stellt.
Danke an Herrn Dekan Schwesig, der die Aufnahme ermöglichte und an Frau Wandel, die die Aufnahme sehr hilfsbereit begleitete.

I usually find this movement a bit boring and just "technical", but you managed somehow to give it some life and gives some respect to this very beautiful cello. Thanks ! And have a good career in Bach or anything else you are playing currently :)

Thanks Annabel for yet another very accomplished performance of Bach’s beautiful music. The courtyard at Blaubeuren Abbey in which you chose to play really added to the experience. The fact that you played outdoors in the midst of the herb garden, being the essential place of healing during medieval Monastic life is an interesting choice. Those walls have no doubt witnessed a varied and chequered history that belies its now current calm and peaceful presence. It once likely resonated to fervent cries calling for change and much religious upheaval throughout its life.

Liebe Annabel, Another beautiful interpretation of a Bach Suite! You play the tempi that allow the harmonic rhythms to settle in the listeners ear. BRAVA !! Wunderbar!! So pleasing to hear a young player with this mature interpretation!!
