I just managed to get Airbourne Asphalt on my KD3 and it ran just fine though it did fill up all storage. Had to uninstall to free up space.

I noticed that you had the NOW TV app available. As far as I know, the only Android TV device that the app is available on are certain Sony Android TV TV's?!? Have you sideloaded a version or was it in the Play store or preinstalled etc? Do you have a subscription and tried to play a video? Thanks

Well @ Chigz Tech Reviews i went out and got one of my own back...I opted for the Apeman lc650 (although it's under a different brand name of Yuhear) hasn't turned up yet (tomorrow) but it's had some rave reviews...I've checked your home page and you haven't reviewed it? i'm wondering if you know anything about it mate?

Does it have developer options where you can force apps to external storage?
I have issues with any kind of TV box sooner or later if it's cheap or expensive. I had pretty good luck with Zidoo x9 but for what a lot of people want now such as games it's too slow.

I checked the price in the link for the unit for that price you would be better off going for a 4K Firestick there's always deals going for them plus we're in 2022 and these companies are still pushing out 8gb of storage!!! keep up the good work my man.

Have you tried a powered usb-c hub or multi-port to usb3? maybe this will extend the system with an external SSD with the right connection...
Can I have the external ssd plugged in my the usb on my tv and still be recognized by the fire tv ? My tv is already a smart tv
@@deptic2111 Don't know if the USB port have enough power to turn on the SSD... that is why I proposed a powered Hub (uses external plug)

Unfortunately Tidal in Dolby Atmos doesnt work on it.
How does this and Onn FHD stick compare?. Can't beat $15 at Walmart for all drm with major apps.

The Onn FHD doesn't do 4k, otherwise quite comparable. The Onn 4K dongle thingy is a bargain at $30 ish

You've also listed it as having Android TV OS in the 2022 chart which is incorrect. It is Google TV OS.
Looks nice, but.. Storage should be 16g minimal since it has full Google play. Meaning downloading and playing their games. I'll pass because of that.. Thanks for sharing tho 👍

Kd3 v buzztv sticks?
I see on another review that you can't select United Kingdom as a region during setup, which is really frustrating, having just ordered one of these! You won't be able to access numerous apps, including BBC iPlayer.

Good product, but... Shame they didn't have a second USB port - either micro USB (or preferably USB C) to allow you to connect a USB hub for - dongles for standard wireless keyboard/mouse, external storage like USB sticks/HDDs etc... Just think, you've finally got Netflix HD and with that downloadable capabilities (and other streaming downloads etc), but, not enough storage for it... 🤨😎🇬🇧

@Chigz Tech Reviews LOL i've been watching you for years and i could of sworn i'd subbed ages ago..just checked and i hadn't??! (quickly just resubbed) i don't know if i lost you along the way or summat? weird...Anyway, i'm wondering if you could help on a very quick tip, i'm looking for the highest resolution projector (at least 100") for my bedroom at the cheapest price - so basically Res to price ratio (my room is always dark so no real worries on brightness) any ideas, and then i can check your review on it and decide...Hopefully with an affiliate link so you can get some dosh...Peas!
P.s Great review, ive already got Google TV/android tv built into my tv, can you side load apps onto this? I've got TV/Movie apps (i wont name them ;) ) sideloaded on my current telly (yay) but if you can do it on this as well and it would work on a projector you recommend that would be the icing on the cake.

Yes, the full Play Store can be accessed by asking the Google Assistant to 'open the Google play store'.
No expansion probably won't work for me. Looks like my kodi library would eat up all of the space(the images for the thousands of entries).
Yes internal storage will be an issue, especially for large builds.

Let's see here. No expansion. Only 8gb internal only option. Content layout like the Fire Stick. Row after row of sifting for something. At least the Fire Stick has storage expansion. Think I'll stick with the Fire stick.

Not sure what are the differences with an official Google TV puck, that is cheaper.
Mecool is better, Google’s version has only 4GB storage.

You can install APKs as normal.
8 Gigabytes is 4 times more than the Firestick's 2 GB.
Very bad title and description because because Google TV OS is completely different from Android TV OS. They are NOT the same. Totally different experience.
If this box stick had more storage then maybe... but 8gb is not enough. Shame!
Why would anyone need this when all these apps are already on smart tvs
WHY DO THESE COMPANYS KEEP MISSING THE POINT EVERY TIME ITS EITHER ONE OR THE OTHER. Nvidia is still king
