    I really like how this is a non-Germany centric video. Like yes, Germany is the main country in this timeline, but it's cool to see what's happening in other countries.

    Sidenote: Depending on how large these canals are, you could literally sail from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan to the rest of the world. Go down the Amu Darya, through the Aral canal, up the Irtysh, and to the Arctic. Or you could go through Transaktobe and up the Volga, and then perhaps through Volga-Don to the Black Sea.

    This is amazing beyond words. Like, it's such a unique style of mapping and its finally a mapping video that dives into actual economics and not just war. It also shows the effects of war, and I felt really bad after seeing what happened during Operation Atilla in western Kazakhstan and how years of work were destroyed in merely a few months, which really makes you think about how war is stupid and how it hinders progress. It also explains how the Soviet Union got so powerful despite losing most of its western territories to the Weltreich, and gives an interesting view into an actually competent communist system. Basically, this is amazing, you created new standards for mapping videos everywhere (even more than your new mapping style of conflicts, which is awesome on its own) and this might be a turning point of mapping videos everywhere. I also love how you fully commit into the insane world of Weltreich and make sure that it's insanity is actually logical (at least in-universe) and that it makes a whole lot of sense in a weird way.
    Also, the most unrealistic part is probably Lysenko being an actual scientist instead of a politician who uses his skills to get rid of everyone who criticizes him so he could control all biology studies in the USSR.

    • @WTFCDFoxy
      @WTFCDFoxy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Considering that The Germans didn’t go Nazi in this timeline, how was nuclear energy and nuclear bombs invented so late? I mean wouldn’t Albert Einstein still help spread the idea nuclear power in the 30s and 40s? Even if it wasn’t in their top priority, I’d still think they would try and develop them as early as the 40s, right? Since the Soviets were still a threat?
    Nonetheless, great video. A lot of effort was put into this. 9/10

    • @WTFCDFoxy
      @WTFCDFoxy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      That's a good point. Haven't really thought about the earlier developments.

    What an absolutely striking feat! We can only imagine the magnitude of such an undertaking and wonder how many different ways did it take form on the opposing side. (If the Germans needed any agricultural reconstruction in the 30s-40s, that is.) All in all, I'm very impressed by how calculating and immaculate this whole thing is! Also wow, I DID NOT expect the Space Race! I wonder if they sent Laika on his endless quest in this universe as well...
    Anyways, I've got a _few_ Weltreich-related questions. I decided that I'd like to contribute to this alternate history scenario in whatever way I can, especially after getting permission to lay down the basis of the Union of Britain. So here it goes!
    *1. The Kanadisches Reich* - I'm honestly really mesmerized by this extension of the Weltreich, mainly because what could the German influence mean for a country which was explicitly shaped by joint English and French impacts. My question would be, what do you think could have happened to this country? Did the original English/French ascendancy combat the influence? Did it succeed in seceding? Did it keep the monarchy or align itself with the Central Powers? Is it one of those powers that managed to keep itself together despite the syndicalist dominance? So many questions, yet such vague answers!
    *2. The Japanese Empire* - Now, if I can remember correctly, you told us in one community post how the Empire suffered a coup by military officers, thus becoming a fascist-ish dictatorship. I entertained this question so much I decided to look after Japanese fascism and militarism and, God Almighty, did I get to know some stuff! There originally was an attempted coup against the administration in the 30s, known as the 26th of February Incident caused by the anti-modernization faction of the Imperial Japanese Army, known as the Kōdō-ha, which also supported the Invasion of the Soviet Union. However, there's one little twist. The administration was governed by the Tōsei-ha, which was basically the opposite. (Modernization, Accumulation of Chinese capital...) And Hideki Tojo, who you said to be the central figure of the universe's dictatorship wasn't only the member of the Tōsei-ha, but he also considered the Emperor to be a living god. Knowing all of this, what would be your turn on the Japanese question? Here's the link to Tojo's Wikipedia article btw! :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hideki_Tojo
    *3. Syndicalism* - One of the more significant questions of mine is how this ideology would shape the Communist Bloc. Of course, the Soviet Union is undoubtedly going to be the Marxist state we all know, could the European version of this political philosophy orientate more to an anarchist narrative? Because despite the fellowship with the Soviet Union, there still seems to be a divide and opposition between the two in the factions. Tell your thoughts!
    Welp, this is all I got for now, but if you answer these, just know you've done a favour!
    -Mao for General Secretary-

    • @samuelv477
      @samuelv477 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One more thing about Japan, while I do think this could be a clever twist, I sort of find it unlikely how this ultranationalist regime would topple down the figure, (The Japanese Emperor) who's basically the source of the sentiment. Great idea though!

I’m from Huntsville, AL so I can tell you that Werner Vaun Braun actually did a lot of his engineering research for the moon landing here. We have a massive museum here that houses the Saturn IV rocket and Vaun Braun is a fairly well respected figure here. We have a giant theatre/stadium here named after him and one of the engineering buildings at our university is named after him. I’ll let you decide for yourself how sad that is seeing as how he was a nazi and all.
