I appreciate your sharing your knowledge. New A7iv owner and have a 28mm and 135mm primes that I'll likely use for astro. I'll try some shots before I buy a star tracker. I look forward to your other videos. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing, awesome pictures!😍 Do you a have a tip, what brings more details to the milky way photo? A single long exposure like 3-4 minutes or multiple shorter exposure's stacked together?
Nice job. I'm in New Zealand too. Taupo. I'm thinking about getting the Sony A7C. Do you think that would be as good as the A7III or very similar. Trading my Nikon D7200 and lenses. Thanks
Kia Ora, Taupo is probably a good spot for astro. I came from Nikon D7200 as well and sold all my gear when i jumped to Sony =). I can confidently say that the a7c is a good choice, partner with a fast lens, and it’s an ideal camera. The only reason I’m keeping my a7iii is because of dual card slot that i use when doing some event. All the best for you mate.
Thanks for sharing, learnt more today than in the last 2 yrs cheers

Thanks for this not overcomplicated Tutorial. Is the additional tripod head that goes between tracker and camera included in the vixen kit?
Hi Adam, sorry for this late response. That trips head is unfortunate not included. Have to buy it separately. =)
