I prefer smaller spaces and older homes/apartments. I find McMansions and most new constructions to be so tacky!
I like the addition of the dark finish fireplace in the white room. Jack is a sweetie.

I love the absence of a television in the space. The large mirror is far more aesthetically appealing.
Stunning! Nicole took a small space and made it look simply elegant and inviting. If I lived close to NYC I would definitely have her design my space. She seems intelligent, willing to listen and best of all no arrogance. I would love to see some other spaces Nicole has transformed.

she's achieving something pretty difficult (imo) by making such a cool-toned palette still feel warm and cozy. whites, blues, and greens are also my palette, but i constantly feel like it leans too cold - I'm learning from her that maybe the secret is using soft, cushy, cozy materials :)
I'd like to know what color white paint she used. It is crisp, yet warm.
I feel like the wood that she brings into the home, via cutting boards, kitchenware, or furniture, really adds warmth to the space ☺️

What’s the square footage and the floor plan. We don’t know how tiny or big the place is so I can’t use it for inspiration for my 288 sqft studio.

Love everything about this space! So perfect to me except I’d dint see a tv I would have had to add a tv over the fireplace.
It may be because lots of peeps forgo tvs these days as they stream on their laptops/tablets/phones so don't feel the need for one

Very nice apartment! Contrary to other opinions, I think that the fireplace is nice to look at, but the space could have been used for something with more functionality, such as another dresser or a bar cart, etc.

It's an elegant apartment I love how she is not those minimalists that are way too stark that it lost warmth and comfort. She hits the perfect balance.
And one little suggestion for Talia.... I realise Nicole isn't wearing shoes in her apartment. Maybe she doesn't wear shoes indoor as well. I cringe when I see people wearing their shoes in an indoor space. It would be better if Talia can take off her shoes when entering other people 's spaces. If she doesn't like showing her feet, she can bring along a slipper or a pair of indoor shoes.
Good point. I noticed that, too--especially if her host is not wearing shoes. Seems like a no-brainer.

Some of these studio apartments are so nice, I love the coziness, the architecture, but I just can’t with the bed in the living room. I’d have to put up a screen or a curtain.

It’s a beautiful place, but a sofa would be nice and maybe a tv.
It is a beautiful room but I don't know that I could live with sacrificing a couch --although admittedly I spend most of my time in my bedroom. She is right though in a small space you need to be neat and organized and always always always put things away after using them.

If living in tiny space, make sure anything you bring in is going to be used daily. Hanger clothes orginizer. Look for clothing you can wear year round, and folding hacks also help save space.

Agree! I personally never found a comfortable pull- out, but there are French style daybeds, with real mattresses, that could serve as sofas. Put it against the wall to save space, lots of throw pillows for the day, real bed at night.
Lovely apartment, but I'd ditch the fake fireplace and get a couch.

the blue chair is actually the sofa, and IS the living room. lol. cute place but i'd have chosen a sofa bed/futon or something else. there's absolutely no entertaining space here. and that table in the corner is not the entertaining space.
Homeowner removed her shoes, and mentioned she kept her shoes in the closet by the door, disappointed that host kept her outside shoes on…

Lovely but this is a bedroom with a tiny table in the corner. I'll never understand why people put a huge bed in the middle of a tiny studio and then have to live thri lives around that bed. Especially if you single. It's like a hotel room. Day bed/folding sofa would open that space so much better. That being said, it's a nice space.

Is it just me but when she said she loved that picture on her mantle I almost fell over. There's nothing to it. It's a bland boring piece of absolutely nothing. 😳🤷 If I won that somewhere I would conveniently forget to bring it home.

Sometimes, a slight jarring of one’s memory helps one to regain their grip on a time respected teaching long known to help ease friction in everyday
people-to-people interactions, - in an amazing way for the amount of effort put forth! Sadly, sometimes such mild jarring works, sometimes, not so much.
If you are still blessed to have your mama with you, try to find a way, however small, to bless her, if only for bringing you into the world. I wish you and your mama (or her memory) nothing but good will, as you continue your life’s journey.

In what depressing times we live! We call a hole a charming apartment and we are happy about it! A bed, a chair, and a tiny kitchen are not an apartment guys, by no means, by no definition!
Obviously you haven’t lived and don’t live in New York City. This apartment is a charm and a steal in the big apple. Beside, everyone is happy in different ways, for some it’s appreciating the small things ❤
it's just a bit above the size of single room occupancy hotel room . those were prominent in NYC back in the day
