Koolance QD3 are better
you aren't just stuck with G1/4 on both sides (does alphacool know that people connect their quick disconnects to tubing?). Koolance actually have male and female 10/13mm and 10/16mm compression fittings so you can use these in an actual computer water cooling loop

This is for their server/enterprise line where it's built to go into a number of distro plates and other compatible hardware. He said as much in the video.

You never checked our website or our products. We have tons of different QDCs. This special version is not for normal using, its more for servers and there you dont work with 13/10 or 16/10mm tubes. ;-)

Yeah, you're a watercooling rookie. I've tried using QD3's for years and they always jam up long term where they won't shut off flow. Mostly likely it's because they use nickel plate instead of a harder chrome so the nickel plating ends up galling up.
