JK said himself when he was making these songs that he took it seriously that he is a KPop idol and he wanted to represent them well. The fact that he is a KPop idol does not change just because he sang in English and used different producers and background dancers. Also, he does have Korean background dancers, too. The only reason I want to respond to that is there were some petitioning to not allow him to get KPop awards. I don’t think that is fair. That would be like Americans saying BTS should not be eligible for western awards. I’m so happy Mcountdown and the other Korean shows didn’t shun him for the reasons you listed. We would have missed some really good performances and he would have missed out on some awards and recognition from his home country.
