I don't know if it was said it the tutorial but it took me hours to figure out why I couldn't rotate 360 degrees like you could. I finally turned on GLOBE VIEW and there it was. Hopefully that helps another knucklehead like me lol.

quick update, I managed to fix it and get it running in 3.1.2. For anyone else having similar issues, it seems that blender was unticking the addon when I closed the application. Simple fix though, just tick the addon again. I tried various other versions of mapsimporter but kept getting error messages. Some were compatibility errors and others didn't say but I can safety say, 3.1.2 with v0.5.0 (MapsModelImporter) work. Massive thanks to Mr 3D for taking time to help out

When I click Inject to Process everything seems fine, but when I then click OK on the Google Chrome GPU box, RenderDoc simply returns to its home screen. I've also noticed that my Chrome doesn't show any debugging metrics. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Make sure you do not have any other Chrome window opened, only the debug one, if you are watching the video, use edge or firefox... it was happening to me until I closed everything else...

Yes change the code to wherever your location of the file is
if you want to load everything fast, zoom out on ur browser the most by pressing ctrl minus

Make sure u have the latest blender as shown the video and all versions of programs the same. It worked for me!
I followed all the steps and capture the 3d London and saved it as rdc but when I imported it to blender nothings happened! my version is 2.93.4

Both do the same thing except in osm you have to manually grab buildings and textures

There are only few cities with 3d data on google maps so try some (san francisco, new york, Chicago etc.)
