@@dragonfist9534 he got shrapnel in his eye. It’s certainly gone lol. The eye is still there on his character model because his other skin includes both eyes and it’s unnecessary work to remove his eye for a different skin when it’s covered by an eyepatch anyway.
@@lalakuma9 in Tekken 4, in Hwoarang's ending, Jin is speaking with japanese accent because he is voiced by Jin's Japanese voice actor, Isshin Chiba. If Namco found someone that speaks English to voice Jin, they all would have been talking without accents.
I honestly would rather they have kinda made the push to make Hwoarang the one to "save/defeat" Jin instead of Xiaoyu. Like yeah, Xiaoyu and Jin friends from school, whatever, but Hwoarang and Jin have much more of a connection in my opinion and truthfully, Hwoarang is the only one to really win in a battle against Devil Jin. The canon of Tekken 7 is Hwoarang defeated DJ, saved Jin from being taken, lost/fucked up his eye for the man, and got him to run away to safety, which then leads to the storyline of Lars picking Jin up. What has Xiaoyu truly done? Other than try to go back in time and fix things which of course didn't do a thing. I'm being 100% genuine when I ask this. What has she *really* done that warrants her to be the hero in Jin's life?
I see Hwoarang as someone who brings out Jin's more competitive side. A person who he can actually test his skills agaists instead of just another obstacle in his path so he can get to his true goal in killing the Mishima's. Despite him saying he didn't care that he lost against him in their fight this ending implies that on some level Jin did. Since his devil transformations is triggered by intense negative emotions. Xiaoyu can be seen as someone who brings his more compassionate side. During T6 Jin has definitely fallen from grace and he's more sullen and bitter most likely due to the constant endless fighting with his family, so she can try to remind him of the person he used to be. So in a way they can both save him in their own way.
End of Tekken 8, Jin becomes Angel Jin with white wings defeats Kazuya. All his allies stand in awe, he lands, walks straight past Xiaoyu... grabs Hwoarang by the hips and sweeps him off his feet... the two fly off into the sunset...
The rare moment were they have other characters speak another language before everyone on the planet understood each other. It's dedication they got Isshin Chiba speaking English and the only Tekken character talking in another language, not counting the recast in TTT2.
