What, do you sleep with that thing?! One of the best acoustic guitar players l’ve ever seen! Every note rings out clear and full, while some people, playing longer than you’ve been alive, can’t fully pull off a song like Do It Again with such perfection. Love that guitar, too!
This guy is hands down the best acoustic cover artist on YT. Been at it for years, consistent as a MFr, great song choices, and does an INCREDIBLE job at making each one his with his own unique styling of getting the lead melodies in perfectly without taking away the feel. This man is a true player and I hope he is recognized for this. Check out his “that’s life” Sinatra cover
This guy is successful in my eyes. Depends what you define as success. Sometimes the greatest musicians and artists are the ones who don’t aim for mainstream attention. Legend.
This is the artist on the horizon. Truly the best non-famous artist on the net and there's some good ones. He'd fill some 500 seat arenas just doing covers.
@sirswearsalot1813 , that comes if you can put the rest of it together so well. Us mere mortals usually work on that aspect first but often times we dont get much past it and actually pick up the other details of the composition, as Corey has, does, and will ! Great playing , I watch your videos when i either want to be humbled or inspired ,or both!
I'd known the guy was amazing just by choosing a Steely Dan tune to cover to. After listen to some of his other covers, I've had to come back here and say: This guy is an amazing artist. Well done, Corey!
The word sensational isn't used very often by me, this is one of the few times I've found it appropriate to describe this remarkable spectacle. Outstanding cover, one of the greatest I've ever seen in my life and I worked in the industry.
Another impressive cover from Corey ( as usual !!!). Like for his interpretation of Moondance, Corey does not only show how he master the technique but he also plays and sings with his heart and guts ... I am a great fan of Steely Dan and I do like very much this interpretation; lots of feeling. Bravo ...
I've watched this video several times over the years and I've shown it too many of my friends and everyone who sees it agrees you are pretty phenomenal and you did it absolutely terrific job on the song keep up the amazing work my friend
I was checking my feed and about to sleep when this cover popped up. I was filled with joy just by reading the name of the song. Immaculate performance mate!
sheeit, now i'm on a Discovery/Recon mission for all things Corey Heuvel..... you hooked me with that Solo on Crazy and the rest was just icing on the cake. how u arent signed ill never know, unless you are .. .COME TO LA U will pack any club like the Troubador, Keyclub, ...you name it...
Holy smokes I just wanted to hear a cover of this song. I wasn’t expecting that! This is one the coolest solo performance I’ve seen in a very long time . Powerful !
I would love to see you do a remake of this version Corey. I love this version...but I think you have made so much progress in evolving your style and approach to these solo acoustic efforts in recent years, that I think you would absolutely crush it! Plus I love this tune :)
fantastic (and energetic!) arrangement and performance - you captured the complex rhythms and harmonies of this song with your amazing playing and singing.
always great to hear you on TH-cam !! thanks for sharing your talent ! brightens our rainy day in Tahiti ! Greetings from the islands in the South Seas !
Oh man this is EXCELLENT. I prefer it to the original, and I so learning your arrangement and chord voicings because they're freakin awesome. Well done Sir!!
@@dennispope8299 thank you, doctor. His time is sloppy at the expense of flash. Way better than I am and some impressive licks, but he creates tension by presenting licks and not a solid delivery of the SONG. Stevie has earned the respect, man. No?
Amazing just like all of your work. I am a proud subscriber and I love sharing your amazing talent to my friends who are also blown away. Keep on doing it man.
Lol damnt I want to learn an acoustic version of this song... Now the long hours of studying your chords cause this version is just too damn good. Thanks for the video it's ridiculously good.
From what I've seen so far this is your best performance, and what a level this is on! Absolutely stunning, managed to capture that true feeling of Dan. Tabs would be much appreciated, heck tab it and I'll buy the tabs from you for, let's say $ 70?
I once commented that this DUDE is something special and then someone replied that he's not doing anything so technical, is it just me or I'm I missing something here....????
Dude how did you learn to play that damn guitar like that. I'm ready to park mine. I never had this type of enthusiasm to play like that, but I have to look into it real fast

I enjoyed your version very much - your use of inversions is matched by your natural sense of timing & distinctive rhythm approaches, I like the vocal delivery also! Very cool.

Love that guitar, too!
he also captures the Fagan style of singing to a T
So better than Tommy Emmanuel?
@@PetraKann Perhaps he will be when he reaches that level of experience.

The best Steely Dan cover I have ever heard
Yes, love it - I can actually understad the lyrics better than the original!
This is the artist on the horizon. Truly the best non-famous artist on the net and there's some good ones. He'd fill some 500 seat arenas just doing covers.
Patrick Lilley Hopefully he has worked on his rhythm.
His version of little wing has me returning . And now moondance .
I’d book him.
I agree. I keep coming back to many of his different covers

Yes, excellent! A cover exactly like I like it. Original, groovin, expressive.
I have been playing guitar for over 50 years.
This is the style I admire the most.

Man am I glad my nephew told me to check out Cory. I'm hooked. Pretty ambitious to tackle the Dan but I'm impressed. Very soulful rendering.

Excellent! Steely Dan is a rich seam for your skills, and i love the raw exposure of just voice and guitar in one take
Can't stop to listen to this masterpiece of a cover version. You nailed it!! Hats off!
Dude you have SKILLS!!!!
dude keeping the timing with playing on the guitar AND singing like that is my dream. you’re so good man

This Dude is unbelievable, only come across him very recently and now it's not possible not to want to watch/listen to him.... phenomenal 🙏

Absolutely bonkers, Corey!! I have no clue how you make these tremendously difficult songs look so easy to pull off. You are a bad man.

Simply Amazing! Got my tickets to see them in Cincinnati next month
Wow, Skunk Baxter and Denny Dias would be impressed, even maybe Donald. Would love to see you play live!!
Fantastic cover, love this arrangement. Great tone (and tune).
Corey is like a magic stick; each song he touches becomes gold!

Stunning, my man. Those jazz chords tho!
Great expressive rendition. Love the snappy chops and your voice timber. I'd pay to see you perform live.

Such a great cover. I come back at least once a week. Great work!
Muito bom!!!! Excelente! Parabéns pela escolha da música e execução.
Kick ass man, great job, you have a lot of sounds coming from the guitar for a song that has many instruments in the original arrangement.
Amazing just like all of your work. I am a proud subscriber and I love sharing your amazing talent to my friends who are also blown away. Keep on doing it man.
Amazing playing dude, i wish someday i could play like that

Give that DUDE an acoustic guitar and tell him to show you how "easy" it is.
Right in your wheelhouse Corey. One of your best.
Wow!!! Absolutely fantastic.
What´s the Nut width on your Stonebridge 43mm or 45mm?
Really , really fabulous Corey ! I love the Dan and your arrangement is just AAamazing!

Fantastic cover, very good !!!
Wooo he's back, I hope you upload more often man!

And you fire till he is done in but they catch you at the border
And the mourners are all singin' as they drag you by your feet

Then you find you're back in Vegas with a handle in your hand
Your black cards can make you money so you hide them when you're able
In the land of milk and honey you must put them on the table
You go back, Jack, do it again, wheels turinin' 'round and 'round
You go back, Jack, do it again
Great!!!!!!
