OMG! I true work of art. Magnificent. I can't believe your thrift store finds. That purple fabric is to die for! I wish you could have seen my husband’s face the first time I put a coffee-stained doily in my purse as we were leaving a restaurant. My niece and I went to a flea market specifically to buy junk. She was sworn to secrecy. Awesome Melody book. Save everything.

Each page just kept getting more and more beautiful as you went through it. Amazing Pam. This journal is absolutely gorgeous. Very stunning. Question---- do you work on pages first so you can do sewing and then later decide the order you want the pages ? Seems the sewing would be so difficult after binding was already sewn.
Thank you so much! Yes, I work on the pages first, do the sewing and most of the embellishing before I attach the pages to the spine. For me, it's so much easier that way

My ever growing stash of fabrics and trim are mostly from thrift stores. Not only do I look in the fabric section, I also scour the clothing racks looking for vibrant patterns and materials. Another section is domestics. There are great finds such as pillow cases, napkins, bedding and tablecloths. I have done a video on my latest thrift store haul if you would like to check it out. Hi there, lovely journal! I’m wondering how you sew your book pages. Do you sew before you put the pages into signatures? I’m new to using a machine and can’t imagine trying to sew the pages while they are in the journal, lol!
Hi Keri! Yes I sew all my book pages before attaching the signatures to the spine. I am currently doing a series on an altered book junk journal and the next episode is going to focus on adding fabric/trim/ribbons to pages and sewing. Check out the series - 😍

This journal took me about 3 weeks to complete. My journals tend to take awhile since I love to embellish the pages😁❤💗
