- Just as Woody Allen’s latest film opens the Cannes Film Festival, his son, Ronan Farrow, is calling out his father for alleged sexual assault on his sister. Farrow is also blasting Hollywood for standing by the famed director. Farrow wrote an essay for The Hollywood Reporter that was published right before a press conference at Cannes. NBC’s Joe Fryer reports.

@@eek8066 you don't seem to have an understanding of how the legal system works with sexual assault. Very few cases are ever even charged. Prosecution is extremely rare. There's no "should have left it at that" about it for sexual assault in the legal system. Being acquitted does not exonerate just because no one saw it. People don't sexually abuse in front of others. There are usually no witnesses, and frequently no marks to be left... Allen went on to marry a teenager who he was a father figure to.. so... hmm.

The accusations against Woody Allen were thoroughly examined and the case investigated sincerely twice, by two separate states, and both came to the conclusion that Woody DID NOT sexually abuse Dylan. The video tape was rehearsed and directed by Mia Farrow.
Moreover, everytime Dylan was questioned about the events of that evening, over a course of a couple of days, she always changed her statement. There were considerable differences found. This is proof she was lying.
Dylan was 7 and Ronan was 5 at the time. It isn't hard to imagine Mia manipulating and using her kids by brainwashing them against Woody Allen, just because he married Mia's step daughter, who was 21 years old at the time (not a child).
Mia's other son Moses Farrow has gone on record to say that Mia Farrow was abusive to him and Dylan and Ronan, and that she created a hostile atmosphere in the home against Woody. She turned the kids against him, and made them believe he was some sort of a demon.
Another allegation is that Woody married his step daughter, which is again LIES. Soon Yi Previn is the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Andre Previn. Woody wasn't her father, and had nothing to do with raising her. Woody never met her till she was 21 years old.
Moreover, Woody and Soon Yi have been happily married for more than 20 years now. That says a lot about the man.
So yes, Dylan Farrow was abused, and her life ruined, but not by Woody Allen, but by her mother Mia Farrow.
