Alejandro Escovedo, es el único que sabe volver del pasado y regresar con canciones, que solo en su voz suenan frescas y actuales. Otros muchos solo son patéticos imitadores. Viva Alejandro Escovedo!!
@ccm800 Except for the fact that Bowie's accent IS audible when he sings, very much so, in fact! Seriously, go back and listen to ANY of his albums and you'll hear it. Also there's the fact that Alejandro has a rougher voice and Bowie's is much smoother. I'd understand if you said that you thought you were listening to Springsteen when you first heard Mr. Escovedo sing, but Bowie?!
@ccm800 ...um, how?! Didn't you notice the complete lack of any sort of British accent, and that their voices don't sound at all alike in any other way?
Alejandro's solo on Rank and File's "Lucky Day" is one of my all time faves !
@TotzthePlaid the singing and sound of the voice. Havent you noticed the lack of audible accents in a lot of song?
@TotzthePlaid The first time...that is what I thought. Still think there are similar qualities. I checked it off to Bowie getting older etc.

The first time I heard Alejandro I thought it was David Bowie...voice wise
