What an informative video! Your instructions simplified the task of replacing the Nutone exhaust fan motor with a Home Depot option. For trusted Nutone exhaust fan motor parts, our store is the go-to place
Thanks! Removing the fan blade is key! After that, it is easy to switch the new metal frame mount with the old one so new motor + fan work with existing frame(s). New model also needed a Torx screwdriver to get the motor off the mount!
The video was very helpful, all except removing the plastic fan. The new one, a C350bn appears to be molded into the spindle, so no way or amount of force I could apply would even loosen or budge it.
I did this today. The housing of my fan was 9"X9" which they dont make anymore so i bought a housing just for the motor. Very annoyingly, my motor had 2 T10 torx screws in it that I had to take out to mount back in the original housing, So I had to buy Torx socket set just for that. Probably still saved a decent amount of money by not calling the dreaded "guy."
@@RobertoCarlos-tb3kn I found a more comparable one at lowes......you will have to make minor adjustments like shorting the screws.....to fit your existing housing.
I did this years ago and have not noticed a difference. everything is working exactly the same way it was the day I installed it! I would just compare the CFM rating between the two models to determine the difference of CFM.
this is exactly what Im dealing with now, EXCEPT....I took old fan assymbly out & it sounds just fine , install it & it sound whinedy & swealy till it comes to a stop,Im supspecting its rubbing against the round upper part once I put it back up. ......BUT since I have the new motor,I may as well put the new one on & then figure out why its running up in the fan area. ..Maybe someone here had a similar issue?
The rotor is the part the usually fails. They use the same on these motors. The stator's body of the motor is what is the difference. I have some rotors for sale that I'll put on eBay. And I made a video. I need to edit is together.
Thank you for showing how to remove the fan blade! I spent a half hour watching different videos and nobody would show the process! Much appreciated.
Only video that actually showed and explained how to get the damn fan blades off. Kudos!
Thanks for showing how to remove the fan blade, that makes your video better than the others that I've watched.
OMG THANK YOU for showing how to remove the fan!! Watched so many videos and yours was the only one that showed it 🙏🏼

Thank you for walk thru - saved me a ton of time and headaches
Hey thanks! That fan from HD is what I have and wasn't sure if the models matched. Now I know it doesn't matter.
Funny you have the one I need, I'm swapping from another nutone not even here
Edit: works like a charm
Thanks alot man

Showing how to remove the fan blade. Your video is the best. Thanks brother ❤👍😊

Thank you, I was able to remove the old motor and ready to install the new one in the housing.
Thank you bud! If I never seen this vid I would've probably gone back to Home Depot to look for another one.
Worked perfectly in 2022 - thanks!
As another commenter noted, you'll probably need a torx 10 bit for the bolts that run through the fan
Thanks! Needed to know how to take the plastic blade off the new motor!

Thank you.....
I was looking for a motor for my 763rln Nutone.....couldn't find one. Now I know what to do....thanks
Kevin Grant did you end up using that same replacement from Home Depot? I have the 763rln as well and trying to see which one is my best option.

Still useful in 2019, Thanks, Buddy!
Just watched this! Exactly the video I needed
Ditto! Saved me from replacing the whole unit, thanks!!!
Do you know how to deal with one where the motor is attached to the fan piece for cleaning?
Did this exacat thing today thanks to your video. A+++
I did exactly the same but the new motor shift is too long. The fan touched the box ceiling and won’t spin.
Thanks, just what I needed.
Thank you. That was excellent and exactly the information I needed.
Since the blades are different (fewer) how is CFM affected?

Your video helped me! Thanks for posting.
I think that new fan blade is a 50CFM, and your old one is 70-80ish CFM

So far I sold one. 13 more to go. LoL
Perfect! This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Thank you. Very helpful
Done. Thanks a lot.
