That was such an entertaining episode, really enjoyable. Wrexham has a massive squad. My choice for Port Vale is Burton, Brunt, O'Connell, Boyle, Mendy, Bolton, Jones, Matty James, Adam, Faal, Mulin.
I don't believe I've been following Wrexham long enough to have an opinion about the badge, but just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear someone say "I had a strong opinion, but started to think it through to really form a proper opinion". Lord, if the world would just adopt this habit, we could avoid a lot of abuse. Just to help you if you are keeping a tally, I'll just say I live 20 min. from Jimmy's home town.
No. That badge is sacrosanct and to see people who have been around the club for two minutes discussing it makes me feel very uneasy. It’s an historic symbol of the club and has to remain unchanged.
They shouldl do a new badge, but more like a refresh of the old. They have to keep two dragons, not one (Rob & Ryan!). they have to keep the barley (they just bought a brewery!). And they have to go with the shield not a circular shape, but they could simplify it. If they keep the same colours, red, white and dark green, but use a modern font and remove the ribbons. Then they should be good. 👍
From Australia, so not sure I have any right to comment- definitely a decision for the local fans/stake holders. I also have no problem with the current crest, but, for arguments sake.....something with the miner's wheel with the motto coming from Yma O Hyd
Thank you I've been screaming about this for a while. As a designer it desperately needs a revamp. The design elements are too many, too crowded and outdated. I think supporters should be involved in the process but it should be done.
changing their badge ? lol .... the very first things Ryan and Rob stated when they purchased the team was that they were not here to "change" everything but rather to support the team and the town of Wrexham in pursuit of growing the club and hopefully all the way up to the Premiere League. a change in their badge would fundamentally change that very mission statement and make them look like hypocrites. they don't appear to be hypocrites to me
I like tradition so I tend to not want to change things but I'm not crazy about Wrexham's badge. Do we know when it was designed? I tend to like the round badges with more stylized designs rather than the flowery, intricate designs. I understand Rich's concerns about the political message behind the current badge, too. I love that Wrexham, the oldest football club in Wales, is the Welsh team that gets the red dragon and I think it should be on the badge. I would suggest a round badge with a colliery wheel, the dragon, and 1864 in the design. I grew up in the San Francisco East Bay, so hearing you talk about the Oakland Raiders was kind of weird ...❤
The badge goes back to the 1973-74 season. It was the result of a competition run via a local newspaper in 1973 as it was then the club's Centenary (it was only later we found the evidence for the founding in 1864).
Thanks, as always, for bringing in the fans of other teams. Always insightful. (PS-Jodi Jones got L2 player of the year.)
Of course, foolish to have forgot Jones after his billion assists that season!

Another great ep. Loved the chat with Craig and his perspective was so interesting
Ps, idgaf about the badge 🤷♂️
Always learn a lot from Craig when the Mansfield games come around
it's one of _THE_ most recognisable club crests in football. It should always remain as it is!
💯

Well said. As my old teacher would say "What is the argument against my opinion?" As you said , far too little of it these days.
Keep the crest forever!!!!!! BUT like Liverpool a simplified version for kits is an idea
Leave badge alone.
I like the old badge better than the current one. Bring it back!
I will always be against changing the current crest. It just shouldn't happen, especially considering it's one of the few badges that aren't basic
The Badge should never change also way too many locals have that badge tattooed on them. I see it around the town.
A lot will change and has changed for the better. I am not against change in principle however, this is our badge and like it.

YES MATE YOU RIGHT. LEAVE
ALONE FFS
Never😡🏴
leave the badge alone... no need for a change.
I love the badge. Not a fan of changing the core of Wrexhams history. It’s like a family coat of arms. Some things are best left alone.

Wrexham has history. Ask the people of the City of Wrexham

WHY DOES IT. WOKE 🤢🤢
Personally, I can't be done with the ich dien motto and the three feathers. Go back to the old crest, more authentic.
NO!
Will Evans, I can’t believe we didn’t sign him, even worse when I heard Mansfield did, for I believe £200k

I like your suggestion about the Wrexham badge especially the colliers wheel part. 👍 x
Why do people always look to F with History and classic things.
Marketing MORONS are always trying to justify their existence!
