i can see this being really useful in factory that is trying to optimize efficiency, the walls are essentially more 'parking' or 'shoulder' space for robots to go on the side while others pass. or for a space to be used for parking more goods or more robots.

Agree , you could have the charging stations mounted in the walls too , so the robot goes there and go to recharge there , then go to the floor once finishing charging
