The long awaited Part 2! This has been in the works for quite awhile, and has taken me countless hours to put together, but after the reception that the first video got, I knew I owed you a part 2! Glad I could finally get it all together. This could possibly be my last render in Unreal Engine 4, I am excited to take the plunge into Unreal Engine 5 and see what I can do there!
This is a digital 3D render I created using Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine 4. Character animated using Mixamo. Thanks to my buddy Tim for letting me record his AE86 for sound effects!
Story: "Year 2030: First they came for the racecars. Congress failed to pass the RPM act, which allowed the EPA to destroy motorsports as we know it. Soon after that, they passed a worldwide bill banning gasoline vehicles from the streets forever. Now all that's left are empty metal shells filled with memories of times past. Each one tells a unique story, but mother nature is slowly erasing them from existence."

@@Daniel-ld7xs In this story, gasoline cars are banned in the year 2030 and that forced the car to be abandoned. Plus, Bunta was dead due to lung cancer.
This makes the ending from the first one a lot less sad. Gotta love Toyota reliability, even after all that time the car starts

seriously, toyota is no joke. ive got an aw11 mr2 that was gifted to me from my dad and it started first try after sitting for 10 years! fuel pump got clogged shortly after of course from running on the decade old gas but still, incredible!
Although not an ae86 nor a gt car, I was gifted an xv10 Camry. Sat for 6 years and started up like it ran yesterday. These things are immortal. Threw in some fresh fuel, new oil and its good to go.
The modern cars of the future may have the numbers. But, they'll never outshine the old legends. Absolutely amazing work!

@@alwexandria I can't believe it they made it so in the manga! I can clearly remember Takumi actually loving the car near the end of the series and this feels cool and natural, because he changed and this car never let him down.

I just love this like absolutely love it as the sequel. I remember getting a bit emotional as this may be very true that all cars will go electric in the not so distant future and I can't believe I'm finding out about this now (this video).

父親の文太が亡くなってからずっと通っていなかった藤原豆腐店跡地にふと寄って、そこにはかつての愛車のAE86がまだ残っていて、「懐かしいな...」的な気持ちで何気なくエンジンキーを回したら「まだ動いた！」で、AE86を持って帰る...みたいな。

@@theanimeotaku2794 and in the animation, after that race against that Karin Futo, this Karin Futo was fixed up but no longer useful for racing anymore, its now just running on a normal 20V instead of the modified version, puts about 200hp compare to 300hp
Hearing the chime made my body hurt, I couldn’t stop the tears. Hearing it start just brought more tears.

Who ever said that Takumi would find a way to save it or convert the AE86 to electric in the first video, props to you. Called it and I am so happy that it’s true. This was absolutely beautiful. A good way to show that regardless of time, legends ever die.

Later that day at Fujiwara Auto Restoration:
Shuichi: Hey Takumi over here!
Shuichi: I've installed two gas tanks, pipes and replaced the spark plugs
Takumi: Are you sure that it's gonna work?
Shuichi: Without a doubt.
Takumi clenches the key tightly and slowly enters the car. He notices a different scent within the car, as if its aura had changed and inserts the key into the hole. Memories of his days with the AE86 rushes past his head. Slowly he turns the key to the ignition setting. The car begins to roar again with life as he dabs the accelerator.
Takumi: What do you call this type of engine?
Shuichi: Oh this? This is no longer an internal combustion engine anymore, it’s a hydrogen internal combustion engine.
Shuichi: This is your new 86, better get used to it...
I almost shed a tear watching this. What a comeback from the last AE86 video! Keep up the good work. Always love your content dude.

Thank you! After seeing the abandoned lonely AE86 video a few years back, I was disheartened. Finally I was very happy to see the continuation of the video where Takumi Fujiwara's Tofu Delivery AE86 was rescued and taken to Fujiwara Auto Restoration.
Now we need if possible one more video of Fujiwara AE86 restored and drifting.
No matter how crippled AE86 is, Takumi will not give up the fate of 86 becoming scrap iron
Emotional, but not true. Real Takumi would never ever abandon his AE86 and leave it like this...

@@csngmusic Anime ending is more fitting overall mood and situation, plus few additional scenes. I liked anime ending. It's 100% satisfying for me.
My question is, why is this a retconned reality?
Did Takumi hit hard time & have to sell off the carbon fiber hood, the gauge cluster & racing seat at minimum? Let's not forget this thing had a (full or maybe 1/2) cage towards the end. Pretty sure that was welded in. At no point was he ever actually poor cause Bunta had a savings account for Takumi back when he was 13 & put his wages as a delivery driver in there.... Without ever telling Takumi till he blew the engine.

This is the ending we needed man. This hits the feels just right, i’m so glad you didn’t let the hachiroku die, but I suspect that was never a part of your plan from the beginning.
And OF COURSE rich ryosucc is always on the same shenanigans lol. The clips of the 86 at the end remind me of old initial d episodes, especially stage 2, when we’d see the real car when the credits rolled

They may ban gasoline powered cars. But they can never banish a soul. Retrofit that AE86 with a new electric engine. Restore the body and wiring. Bring the legend to life, once again.

In the first part , there was a newspaper cutting that the world goes electric...I think that the gas powered AE86 will be fully electric or maybe a gas/electric hybrid or maybe a Hydrogen powered AE86

It's a Toyota... of course it starts right up. My 22RE 4Runner sat for the last 6 years... changed the battery and it caught on the first turn of the key. Toyota for life.

We're rebuilding the AE86 from Toyota Corolla GT-S. I hope it will return to GT Racing Movie. But I'm still glad that AE86, AE85, AE111, AE92, and AE101 returned to Initial D and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RR. Including Need For Speed, Gran Turismo 7, and Assoluto Racing.

This is a fan made theory: Bunta Fujiwara passed away while takumi was building his business. He rush back to the tofu shop only to find a sign saying. (closed.Sorry Bunta) Takumi rand side, grabbing everything he wants cared about and bring it back home after years of building he finally finished wire he’ll take a few more days to buy such a large truck. Meanwhile, the AE 86 was rotting after so many years takumi finally came back. To restore his pride. (the plot: takumi demoted his life to finishing his business after the loss of his dad)
