Ant first laid this sample production down 13 years earlier on the 3rd track of Headtshots Vol.1 WBBOY Sessions, back in 1993... Sample's pretty much off their first album.
voodoo, you obliviously haven't seen Slug's vinyl let alone Ant's! -- Collections extremely hard to fucking match, no question. Atmosphere has been in the game for a long ass time and their productions always shine, especially before I detonate a dime, listening to their music is never a waist of time...
In my opinion, "Little Math You" has the best production on the album...such a great beat. I was trying myself to figure out if that was a sample he used or if it that was an original instrumental part. I know that this song, at least, is a sample.
This is my first song on my blog im starting to help people find other hip hop songs.gonna be posting 1 maybe 2 songs a day. check it out if you feel like it and bookmark it to check everyday.
@SwollenGlandz I don't know if someone already said this, probably, but this was also sampled on DMX's " Where the Hood At" which was also a pretty popular song as you probably know ....but X cant even touch slug's skill MCing, or ant's producing.
@smirkfitch its all preference, bro. i respect the fact you dont like him, unlike everyone else here. i think this song is dope and it goes hard, but thats my opinion.
@smirkfitch Any specific reason? Or you just trolling for attention? Just saying it's wack for you doesn't really explain what you hate about it. Also, just one track? I'd hate to see how you pass judgement what movie to watch or book to read.
@Melgas14 exactly... lyrics are decently put together but the substance is just ZZZzzzzz...I think i know what i dislike..His delivery sounds like he's convinced his lyrics are fire while i can hardly see smoke..Or like a kid at the special olympics winning the Gold medal for jumping jacks and looking really proud...ok that was mean..but i'm just trying to illustrate...
Atmosphere is WACK!!...Mad i even gave this a chance.. At least now i know i wasn't missing anything all this time.. I KNEW HE WOULD BE WACK!!! I want my 4 minutes and 11 seconds back.... ok ... 2 minutes and 3 seconds actually...
I actually think this is one of Atmosphere's best albums. And they released it for free!
Agreed!
The thing i love about atmosphere is every single song is well-though, lyrically complete, and just has sick beats (thanks ant)
How this only has 165,000 views is beyond me. Atmosphere will forever be in my top 5.
One of my favorite atmosphere songs I love the horns
bro he fucking kills this diss
-Wrote graffiti on the mainstream application-hella dope!
And this was free.... True definition of making music for the love of it.
It was Marley Marl's beat originaly and Its on Big Daddy Kane's track-young, gifted and black. Thats the real track
thats the sickest beat i love how they put the horns in it!
here in 2022, what up slug what up ant
young gifted and mixed
Correction. Originally it came from "I'll play the blues for you" by Albert King, not B.B. King.
Ant first laid this sample production down 13 years earlier on the 3rd track of Headtshots Vol.1 WBBOY Sessions, back in 1993... Sample's pretty much off their first album.
this was also sampled by prince paul- a prince among thieves. slug starts the rhyme almost the same way; he changes it up by one word

I like all the horns that Ant used in this album...you don't hear them that much on other Atmosphere albums.
@rcdenninger Funny how I discovered great blues music by listening to hip-hop. Been listening to Albert King all day, great artist. Thanks!
Still dope

@smirkfitch I never really got into him either, I mean he writes good lyrics but his music is boring!
