And it had two roof vents with fans built in. A window in each side door and the drop gate in the back was electric powered. Unlock the lock, twist the handles, one on each side and push the button. And it slowly came down. He built this trailer for his dad, but passed away right after finishing it.It also had steps that lowered down on the sides right under the doors. The trailer also had a very small generator outside in front of it. That was the power for the back door and the steps. But he told me that I could put a much larger one there if i needed to. I asked him if he had a larger one there in his shop, and he said yes. So I bought that larger generator and gave him the smaller one back, to sell to somebody else. He said no, keep it. He also gave me a plastic box filled with spare bulbs, just in case one burned out in my travels. This man had to have his lot empty by the end of the month. I told him that i would be back in two days. So I left his place and drove to a friends house there in the next town. My friend was like me, we are both into trail riding and camping out. He saw my trailer and fell in love with it and asked me how much I paid. He almost fainted. I told him about the man who built these trailers but was closing his doors for good. As for my trailer, I set it up with 2 bunk beds on the front wall, a folding table on one wall and another folding table on the other wall. I even put a folding shelve on the outside wall. You may save a little drive time on your clock because any little driving you may have done in the parking lot when off duty sometimes the computer adds some drive time to compensate for truck movement . I have seen it subtract up to 8 minutes of drive time just because I moved the truck in the parking lot
According to NHTSA, more than 15,000 lives are saved each year in the U.S. because drivers and their passengers were wearing seat belts when involved in an accident.
cha-ching..there went your CSA score. you may think the warning is only 2 points, but the first infraction is triple points. guess just be aware and wear your safety equipment properly. Very nice Office.
I know blocking people is rude. But we all get nervous when we get pulled over by a policeman. JBG Travels DOES wear his seatbelt. Only in some people's stupid little world that he doesn't. I believe in the truth.
One time I took exactly 10hrs off duty. The clock said I had 8hrs to drive. I pulled onto the highway forgetting to change it manually. It deducted 8 minutes drive time. That in turn cancelled my break and it then said I had no hrs to drive. Since there is no way to put it manually on the drive line. The only way to combat that situation is to put it on duty.
Also I think this is a great video I don’t know what people are talking about how you talked to much. The DOT guy asked a lot of questions and you had to answer them

The law says you must fasten your seatbelt!!!! It don't specify how to whare it! How is properly? I talk to much also! He's a good cop though ! I had got them in Hanover park Illinois about 11pm .they were straight out the oil. , i Ate one fresh and he came to the door and opens it and being 75 in a 60 I needed to break the ice! It worked! He looked up and down the road grabbed the box and said slow down! Lol me and my co-pilot laughed for hours!
Can you not lock the seat belt? meaning, I know is most trucks, there is a lock so when you buckle the belt, you can pull some of it out, and then lock it in place.
This is what I was talking about several weeks ago when I mentioned you weren't wearing your seatbelt and you insisted you were. I dropped it thinking perhaps I was mistaken. It is for more than your safety John. If you had an accident while wearing your seatbelt improperly it may make it easier for you to bounce around and lose control of your truck possibly making the wreck worse....maybe you end up in an oncoming lane. I'm disappointed in your response to me...you knew you weren't wearing it properly and admitted it to the cop. Shame John. Shame....
I was deadheading from Dallas to Amarillo on 287N back in 1978 & had a left-front tire blowout while I was in the left lane just North of Wichita Falls. Into the median I went in a cabover Freightliner! If I hadn't had my seatbelt on,... there is NO WAY I'd have been able to stay in the seat !! The speedlimit back then was 55mph & when I went into the median I was probably only doing 40mph, but, it was a ride I'll never forget !! Steve / W5BIB

JBG. Great video keep them coming....keep that C.D.L clean my friend.....
Road rash, you must be a motorcycle rider?
@@24juan68 why yes iam love motorcycle and dirt bikes....love your bike Goldie.......
that guy was cool. love the sail boat fuel. good one
On my Omnitracs, there is a blank area where the default ones are that you can input info of your own. Just touch the drop down arrow and touch the blank area and the keyboard will appear.
Watch out for the smokies JBG 😆
Talking johnny I thought the officer was gon say jeez put a sock in it
That Question about safety ... LMAO 😂 🍔
True isn’t it?
Oh geez not again lol. If you want to conversate there's plenty of truckers at truck stops for that. Let the officers do their job and be on your way they aren't your friends.
You have the mindset that all officers are bad... not a very good mindset if you ask me! They’re all regular people doing their job.
@@DerekBerthiaume I do? You said that not me. Im sure theres good ones and I'm sure there bad ones like any occupation.
What is the freaking big deal about conversation with the police officer.,? At the end of it all it all went well I don’t see what the big deal is holy Smokies
Give life the benefit of the doubt the officers are just doing their job and by doing that, I think our lives will be better
Wow they can email your logs to check driving hours...Lesson learned💯
There is plans to build a j turn at Hwy 29 and CTH U in 2021 and it’s a mistake there should be a interchange and Johnny do you think Hwy 29 should be a full freeway or the current expressway with the at grade intersections?
I agree ☝️
Johnny I have learned from experience, walk with them around your trailer, when they pull you over alongside the road. they like to break seals, and other things
I’ve never had that experience in 27 years
I came for a video on trucking, not to be preached to. 27 seconds was all I could take.
Yes sir. Please sir and Thank you sir are the ONLY THINGS you should be saying to any law enforcement of any kind
johnny just wear the seatbelt properly lol its like the most known law
I have watched JBG off and on over the years, and you will hear or see him put the seat belt on all the time after he starts driving or even when he's driving. I get the feeling he doesn't like to wear it or is really bad about putting it on.
I do wear them, but this particular truck the seatbelt seems to be a very short
Spencer, relax my friend relax
Wow Spencer, you truly are spreading the word. I have read your comment and the same comment over and over again. Relax my friend, relax the world will not end. Just relax live and let live
@@24juan68 Johnny, we just don't want you to loose an arm when some kid decides to perpendicular park his pony car in front of your bumper some day. And may the Lord spare that kid's life when he does come along.
Scary at first. At least no ticket but what is CSA points? Will you have to tell your boss to get the electronic log updated like the police officer said. I promise I will not tell Larry. God be with you.
Hello and good afternoon Daniel
Other than that you did well o good and faithful servant.
A good cop, a rookie cop, not yet tarnished by the cash and prizes awarded to dirty cops. Yeah we need more like that.
They should use them as a template
didnt he say hes been doing it for 12 years? hardly a rookie
@@jaxensley9130 2 years, 10 years as a prison guard.
The problem is he'll see his dirty cop buddies getting promoted for the dirty shit they do to people and he won't last long as a good cop because he'll either be like them or they will force him out. Sounds like they did that in the prison system.
U go above and beyond to show what life is like as a trucker us subscribers want u to be safe and do job right it's not a bad thing but a good one be safe jbg ever thought about going live?
wow..for some moments there, johnybegood sounded combative ..be careful ...getting home is more important than getting that cop to like ya...stay safe out there
Cool cop . Straight up guy .
Cool. Greetings from Germany ✌
A warnings almost as bad as a ticket since u cant fight it.
Sail Boats do have Fuel.. They do have Motors requiring fuel to pull into docks and other purposes.
I Bypassed the shoulder belt and installed a seperate DOT approved lap belt to the same mounting points and never had a problem
Sounds like a good product to look into. Thank you Alan
cha-ching..there went your CSA score. you may think the warning is only 2 points, but the first infraction is triple points. guess just be aware and wear your safety equipment properly.
Very nice Office.
I know blocking people is rude. But we all get nervous when we get pulled over by a policeman. JBG Travels DOES wear his seatbelt. Only in some people's stupid little world that he doesn't. I believe in the truth.
I wear my seatbelt most most of the time
New Jbg t-shirt idea.
Shirts with a seatbelt printed on them.
I will give that idea to Longhaul Larry on LHL print.com
One time I took exactly 10hrs off duty. The clock said I had 8hrs to drive. I pulled onto the highway forgetting to change it manually. It deducted 8 minutes drive time. That in turn cancelled my break and it then said I had no hrs to drive. Since there is no way to put it manually on the drive line. The only way to combat that situation is to put it on duty.
U forgot to log a 15 min, pretrip at beginning of shift. That's probably why it did what it did
Also I think this is a great video I don’t know what people are talking about how you talked to much. The DOT guy asked a lot of questions and you had to answer them
Hello John , That little stop with the PoPo went good .Keep the rubber on the road ,Stay Safe . PEACE
Good afternoon Stuart
Talk low, talk slow, and don't say too much. You never know in what mood or patience level the other person is. Specially if it has the power of giving you a ticket :p
Stay safe.
Good luck getting him to follow that advice. He's a chatty Kathy
There should be no question about you wearing your camera or what it’s used for... it’s almost like he didn’t like it was on
I’m sure he was just curious about it
JBG , you'd be in a real mess if the government got involved with what you eat. 😆
The government does get in the what you eat mess. That is one reason we are ruined as a nation and physically
Ha ha ha I’d be in jail for life
HEADS UP! TORNADO WATCH DOWN IN TEXAS AND SOUTHERN ARKANSAS!!!!
Dakpan ka John. Kuyawa. Amping nalang diha.
Very cool cop.
He was indeed. I was very please with the outcome and very happy to be able to share it to the TH-cam world
It's all a learning experience. Thank you for sharing this.
The law says you must fasten your seatbelt!!!! It don't specify how to whare it! How is properly?
I talk to much also! He's a good cop though ! I was pulled north of Madison at the 90 -94 split about 3:30am in 1990 and gave the cop my dunkin-donuts! Lol.
I had got them in Hanover park Illinois about 11pm .they were straight out the oil. , i Ate one fresh and he came to the door and opens it and being 75 in a 60 I needed to break the ice! It worked! He looked up and down the road grabbed the box and said slow down! Lol me and my co-pilot laughed for hours!
three burgers ok its the fourth one that will get you
. Nice cop👍
From the look of that shoulder truckers are pulled over there daily basis.
John my friend I got stopped cause I didn't have my seat belt around me properly in North Carolina it was uncomfortable
All things considered Officer Murray was very courteous
So it was a catch and release.... ;)
Can you not lock the seat belt? meaning, I know is most trucks, there is a lock so when you buckle the belt, you can pull some of it out, and then lock it in place.
The seatbelt system on this truck does not have that feature
This is what I was talking about several weeks ago when I mentioned you weren't wearing your seatbelt and you insisted you were. I dropped it thinking perhaps I was mistaken. It is for more than your safety John. If you had an accident while wearing your seatbelt improperly it may make it easier for you to bounce around and lose control of your truck possibly making the wreck worse....maybe you end up in an oncoming lane. I'm disappointed in your response to me...you knew you weren't wearing it properly and admitted it to the cop. Shame John. Shame....
Oh dear
I was deadheading from Dallas to Amarillo on 287N back in 1978 & had a left-front tire blowout while I was in the left lane just North of Wichita Falls. Into the median I went in a cabover Freightliner! If I hadn't had my seatbelt on,... there is NO WAY I'd have been able to stay in the seat !! The speedlimit back then was 55mph & when I went into the median I was probably only doing 40mph, but, it was a ride I'll never forget !!
Steve / W5BIB
At the end of it all is in it my prerogative to wear it or not? Relax my friend light will go on
@@24juan68 Yes John it is your choice. That choice is what makes the difference between those who abide by the law and those who don't. You are a professional driver. Live up to that standard. It's something in which you can take pride. If you choose....
I agree, John, you’re no different than any other trucker, you should wear your seatbelt properly.
Hello Uncle John how come you didn't tell about Mr Larry videos 😂😂😂 enjoyed the video be safe out and just wait until Mr Larry find out you getting stop by the dot and the bull hauler passed you back to 😂😂😂 be safe out there until next time God bless you from Paris Texas
😆😆😆😆😆
Laughing at your interaction with the Trooper
Ohio, people on motorcycles don’t have to wear helmets, but I have to wear a damn seat belt.
Same thing in Wisconsin
I know this is a Old one but did you call the boss over this
The less you say the better . Be curious but dont chit chat. But i understand your by yourself all day and when you get a chance to talk to someone you want to chat
When I took the driving part off m CDL test in 1980 the inspector and get into the cab. I click my seat belt and listen to hear his.Two minutes go by and he says start the truck. I replied I'm waiting to hear your seat belt click. I don't wear the damm things he answers.
The seat belt is not for your safety it is to keep you in the seat in control of the truck. Publics safety.
