    Heres my hope it fills the area that nissan did with the XD maybe ford brings back a small diesel option maybe even the cummins 5.0

      That would be nice -- but as a 3.0 diesel owner.... there's a good reason they cancelled it..... it's not a very strong engine. Great MPG's and long-term durable, but not really a pleasure to drive with anything hitched up to it.
      The Cummins 5.0 was apparently pretty strong, but people didn't really fall in love with it. Not exactly sure why.

    I don't really need a 3/4 ton, but I could justify a beefier half-ton .

    I think the Ford F-200 might be 5.2L Powered truck with 3/4 ton brake system with 4.10 gears and 10 speed auto with a regular cab and 8ft bed basically a work truck only in both 4X2 and 4X4 drive.

    This could be a take from Nissan's current Titan HD... which I think is brilliant, and Ford should be able to pull it off much better. I don't want a 3/4 ton, but sure would love a HD 1/2 ton.

      Yes, that would be epic. Fingers crossed that it's more than just a re-badged HDPP!!!

    Here are my thoughts….
    I thjnk it has less to do with truck capacity for payload and towing and more to do with modern technology. I think a future F200 will be the new full electric T3 truck platform currently being developed and scheduled to be built by the new Blue Oval City when it comes online in 2025.
    Farley has already said this new electric truck will have the new and better batteries and have technology no one has ever seen. I think this new F200 will be a ruggedized, versatile and efficient electric truck with expanded capacity for range and payload/towing.
    I’m not sure where the F150 Lightning would fit into this scenario…… Maybe it would disappear and the name Lightning would reappear as a trim level of the new F200……. F200 Lightning??

    Would like to see them use a 10r100 instead 10r80 transmission in the F-200.

    I've heard some people call the F150 with the Heavy Duty Payload package a F200. Our old 2012 F150 has over 3000# of cargo capacity.

      3,000?? That’s a VERY healthy number!!

    What’s Ford F200 ?

    • @ArmyProperty
      @ArmyProperty 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's the question!! Ford filed a trademark application for that name (with USPTO) in August. So the speculation is running wild. Our best guess is that it's a new name for the "F-150 with Heavy-Duty Payload Package" which has the 2-3k payload and 14k conventional towing capability.
