Wow! This spoke to me so deeply. It's a description of my life and the struggle i've had in re-building my confidence in music. Never feeling good enough. Always living in the shadow of my sister. Everyone felt i sounded great as her back up singer.My sister is an amazing singer with her own identity. I have my own. I have learnt to encourage myself and tell myself that I do measure up. I wish you could also have compared the producer to others and see how he would have taken it, to see if he can have a taste of his own medicine.
