    Great video! I'm very surprised to see you have had service issues on Etihad. I have flown them in Business many many times and have never experienced any issues with their service - waiting for meals etc
    Had very great flights every time!

      I have flown Etihad also many times, next flight is 27 Dec from Jakarta via bu Dhabi to Amsterdam and always in business class. Never had a meal service issue and the staff is great as is their business class hard product! Always a very nice experience!

    This is a great comprehensive review of Etihad’s 787 product. However I just wanted to point out that the 787 seats do have the sliding door, albeit it’s only partial. But I appreciate your point, it doesn’t give total privacy as with their A350 product.

    I’ve been on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Manila and you’re right, boarding business class was quite unpleasant and even chaotic. The gate was very crowded and there was no order at all upon boarding. Etihad have to do something about that.

    Thanks for the video! Doing this in 2023 so great to see a review. BTW, what was the music when you were landing in AUH please?

    Was there an aircraft change from AUH to MNL? I'm flying that route on a Boeing 777 but would much prefer 787!

      Hi. Etihad uses both aircraft on the route. The 787 definitely has better seats, but the 777 isn’t so bad. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for sharing po, I like your honest review.... When you were waiting too long to be served with food, do you have an option to get food on demand? perhaps even a quick snack? or are meals and snacks strictly served at a specific time?

    • @GoExploresTheWorld
      @GoExploresTheWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Thanks for watching. Etihad did not have the option on dine on demand. I think their service was just slow. I’ve experienced this several times. Etihad does give good value overall so although their service is a hit or miss I’d recommend it if you want to travel luxury on a budget.

      @@GoExploresTheWorld I see, this might be a nasty idea, but since it's paid for, so I don't see anything wrong with this... I think that it's a good idea to take packaged food from the business lounge into the cabin, or maybe buy take-out food from the airport to eat in case of late food service. I know It defeats the purpose of traveling luxuriously, but you know, you need to survive it as well haha... I might do this, thanks for sharing the occasional quirks Etihad service has.

    Whats the name of the transit hotel you used please? It looks quite good

    • @GoExploresTheWorld
      @GoExploresTheWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Thanks for watching. It’s called the Abu Dhabi airport hotel in terminal one. It used to be called Aerotel. I’ve used it several times and it’s worth it if you have a long layover.

      Now, Etihad may provide free transit stay if your air ticket meets certain requirements
      Besides, Etihad biz class flights out of MNL are always reasonably priced. So not bad for flying there for transit.

    Three-country meal got me cracking. Having second thoughts on booking with them. Was expecting QR level service

      Thanks for watching. Their hard product on their newer aircraft is quite good. Food is also good. It’s just the service that is wanting and I fly them a lot. QR can’t be beat. I’ll be posting an Oman Air video soon. Their service is near QR quality. Thanks again for watching.

    Hi, do you get a lounge access while transiting in abu dhabi before heading to the flight for manila?

    Hello, was the transit hotel free for business class passengers?

    • @GoExploresTheWorld
      @GoExploresTheWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Thanks for watching. It wasn’t but it was around 100 usd. I just incorporate the cost when deciding if I should use ETIHAD vs other airlines. If ETIHAD is still cheaper overall and the layover doesn’t affect my schedules then I’ll take ETIHAD.
