This is the best RC video I have ever seen. It shows takeoffs and some flying and aerobatics and smoke and then landings. It doesn't bore you with one plane flying constantly by and doesn't show long boring flights! Nice short flights with many different planes. I have added this to my favorites so I can watch it again many times in the future. Well done publisher. Well done.

Probably the best video I have seen! It has everything I like,,,beautiful craftsmanship, SCALE flying, and best of all,,,a takeoff, one or two passes, then landing. Perfect!

RCScaleAirplanes I do not enjoy watching crashes. I hate it when it happens to me and know how it feels.
Alan Bycroft same me. I always feel very sorry if a plane got lost. Mine were always smaller and not that expensive but nevertheless I was very upset when it happend.

Oh my - the detail on many planes is just awesome. What an assembly of wonderful warbirds - brilliantly videoed as well on a beautiful day. Phoenix V4 looks great. I'm sure I heard at least one Kolm and some radials as well - sights and sounds to gladden an old RC guy's heart. Thanks for a superb video. :)
The woman who flew the P51 Mustang gets 10/10 from me. The take-off was superb and her flying skills were very graceful. Very realistic flying.

I wish we had events like that here. Everyone just flies the little electric planes for the most-part!
***** don't worry my friend. also here most of the flying fields are occupied by electric planes.
The warbird weekend shown in this video was a season start with good friends.
The last time I saw a nitro-powered plane in person was when I flew mine, ... a long time ago!

Ah Horst that was a triumph! Brilliantly put together! Loved the intro with the music and all the planes sat with hoods back and flaps down and the low down angle for take offs! And what a bunch of pilots, the majority of those landings were beautifully scale - especially the Ferocious Frankie P51. And the Bf109 sounded amazing for an inline fighter! TOP NOTCH! :)
And you saw Detlef's Pheonix! What a piece of engineering!
This video has the best and smoothest landings I have ever seen. Nothing ruins a nice scale plane event like poor landings. GOOD JOB!
As usual, another great video, fantastic planes, and wonderful sounds.
Its a real joy to see all these old girls flying. One thing I learned when I started flying R/C is that no 2 planes ever fly the same. Flying a P51B Mustang then switching over to the Corsair were 2 totally different ships in the air.
Many thanks for your very kind comment. Yes, they fly as different as the real airplanes (this is what pilots told me).
I also kept in mind that whatever maneuver you do with one, you can't do with the other. That's why I flew the P51 more because it almost limitless, but within reason.
Wow some beautiful models, flown by some talented pilots who make it look easy. I've been flying rc Warplanes for a couple of years but unfortunately only the park flyers but they are still great fun. Continue the great work, a really excellent video.

Yes, there are many 4 stroke Moki's 150,180,215,250cc and also a KOLM twin IL135 (Bf109). All others are 2 stroke from different brands. To be honest, I don't know wether _Frau Pilot_ is a _he_ or a _she_ *(ツ)* ... never mind he/she is a good pilot !

What a nice low idle sound most of them have... Best sounding for me are the ones with radial engines... But also some of the P51 are sounding amazing... The Phoenix 4-cyl sounds very special... like a tuned VW Buggy engine.

Wonderful movie, Horst! I really enjoyed every minute of that, amazing models, great flying, and what a beautiful flying field, all very impressive. As someone else has already commented, I too like the way you filmed this; Takeoff, some passes, and then the landing....perfect! That way we can see more planes flying, not just one or two. Thank you for another wonderful video, I hope one day I can come to Germany and visit this airfield and see first-hand the great models, looks like allot of fun!! Cheers, Dougal

My wife knew Wallace Eugene Hopkins, the WWII ace pilot of the P-51 "Ferocious Frankie" well. He was like her uncle. After he retired he served as head of the air museum at Warner Robbins, Georgia, USA.

Many lovely models, great flying and landings. My main observation is take offs are generally rushed and look the least scale aspect of most. The P38 take off not bad though.

The vidcam wizard strikes again! Dazzling work, Horst. I noticed that there was no movement in the surrounding trees, so the flying weather seemed to be perfect for the lads. (34C? A bit too hot for me LOL) Most of the landings were spot on, and the pilots brought some of the most beautiful aircraft on the planet. I bow to you and this perfectly edited video, Horst.

Yes, there was no wind and this was also a reason of the heat. Many pilots were afraid about overheating the engines and therefore they wait for the next flight until the engine has cooled down.

Great video! I'm just wondering why there are so many more Allied aircraft represented at a German event-I only counted two FW-190s and a single Bf-109 (great examples, BTW). There were also a couple of Japanese aircraft. Why so few Axis planes-does it have to do with the availability of the kits?

Engine cooling is a very difficult part on RC airplanes.
@@RCScaleAirplanes yeah, you are telling me. I had to hack out the entire bottom of my Top Flite P-51 to keep my DLE-55RA from over heating. Super frustrating. I know proper baffling is key but some of these models I see zero openings. I'm building a giant Corsair with a radial engine and I'm going to see if I can make scale cowl flaps. I will have to baffle it properly. Awesome videos!!! Really done well.
