Walt never lost his acting ability especially at 10:41 during the mirror scene. It’s like how he reenacted the Snow White story to his animation team all those years ago ^^
I’ve seen this film on the Alice in Wonderland DVD and I’ve been looking for it on the Internet for years, so I thank you with all my heart for uploading this
Thank you a million times over for this wonderful Disney production from 1950. Thrilled to see Kathryn Beaumont in costume as Alice from her then-upcoming feature, Alice in Wonderland. And, yes, I could recognize a young Vera Miles at the beginning of the video serving ice cold Coca Cola. From TV's Golden Age.
It’s a special treat to see the amazing Old Men of Disney’s animation team to also get their jam on with Firehouse Five plus Two. Really shows the variety of creative outlets to offset their extremely hardworking schedule! The Hour in Wonderland is a guilty pleasure of my childhood since I watched this on the Alice in Wonderland DVD as well! Keep up the amazing work!
I'm watching SONG OF THE SOUTH currently on TH-cam. Please look for it. So far, it's great. James Baskett is utterly delightful. Who wouldn't love this man? Sadly, the current evildoers running Woke Dizzy (no longer Walt Disney) decided to throw this beloved gentleman and the wonderful African-American fables he told in SONG OF THE SOUTH out by destroying Splash Mountain! They are now more into supporting teaching innocent children the soul destroying evil of lgbtq by promoting and selling pride Mickey Mouse ears at Disneyland than promoting the gentle sweetness of James Baskett as Uncle Remus. Sounds as if racists want to make all races forget classic tales told by African-Americans in a bygone day
I've seen this a few times before. And always fun seeing Kathryn Beaumont dressed as her own character Alice, which I have seen many times way before I first saw this special.
There is a funny story in Bob Thomas's biography of Walt Disney about Walt and his two Daughters Dianne and Sharon (featured in this show) Apparently Walt kept talking about how "ladylike, Polite, charming and lovely was Katherine Beaumont. His daughters who were jeans wearing California girls eventually got angry with him and jealous 😆
11:39 the face of the magic mirror is Hans Conried, a.k.a. soon to become the voice Captain Hook. 17:22 bobby Driscoll soon to become Peter Pan faces the mirror a.k.a. soon to become captain Hook, Hans Conried.
Uncle remus was about the most wonderful teller of animal stories that ever lived and mr.conductor was about the most wonderful teller of train stories that ever lived.
Bobby Driscoll had always remembered the brer rabbit stories by uncle remus from song of the south, and i guess as long as i live i'll always remember the thomas the tank engine stories and the great and wonderful man who told them mr.conductor.
Alice in wonderland has been my favorite Disney movie & cartoon. I have many Alice in Wonderland items. My girlfriend nicknamed me The Mad Hatter & she was Cheshire Cat 🙀. Since I was a little girl, I never really believed in reality & still don't in many ways. "No, I'm Not Schizophrenic or Psychotic" in anyway, shape or form. I just have a very vivid imagination. But, I've always wanted to go to Wonderland myself & still rather be there than living in my reality as it is now. A living nightmare 😰😪!

One Hour in Wonderland wasn’t just a special-it was a masterclass in how to hype your project while making it feel like a gift to the audience.
@@CoconutDaddy …and that can be said for most of the Disneyland anthology. Pure genius business move!
Probably the closest we’ll get to watching Song of the South…. until Disney finds this special in their archives and edits the segment out.

@ exactly 👍🏻
Hans Conried: did the voice of not only Captain Hook, but Also George darling; Wendy’s father.
Classic❤

THAT is some terrific looking copy here ... with, at the very start, a 1950 Vera Miles promoting Coca Cola as a Santa Claus helper! How about that!
@francoismonferran9031 Wait! How did I miss Vera?!?! Take away my fan card….
You can see Kathrine and almost hear her reciting other's line to better remember her lines... kinda like Emma Watson with Hermione.

Walt Disney thank you because you do make my childhood better place ❤ i hope i Will met you in the second life because without you life has not sense
Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in wonderland he also suffered from epilepsy in real life.
I find it funny that Donald Duck somehow got in Walt's party and got sat on by Edgar Bergan.
And that he was “unnoticed” till he was sat upon and found by good ole Walt who had to send him back to the drawing board 😅
Excuse me, But can I hear Donald Duck, but I don’t see him.

Years later Bobby Driscoll died of a drug overdose.
@ nope not an overdose. He was clean at the time and they found no drugs in his system. It was hardening of the arteries.
Everybody knows fairy tales were originally written for adults not kids.
