Pickles are made with a smaller type of cucumber, and soaked in a vinegar brine with dill and salt, or what ever seasonings you prefer. You put them in jars and can them so they’re fresh when you eat them!
It makes me laugh when people get all grossed out when they see the animal-part of the animals they're eating, as if they didn't even realize that of course there's going to be dead flesh in their meat!! Like you realize those burgers are cow... Right? Like all those veins and muscle and tissue is just ground up in a patty shape. There's such a disconnect for some people from the prepackaged meat you buy in a store and the living animal it came from it amazes me haha
