We have a Sandhill Crane Refuge here in Gautier Mississippi. As a delivery driver I get to see the adults often. Getting to watch baby grow up was quite unique thank you so much!
Mark - that was a great series of Sandhill Crane Adventures. They are so fun to watch. In almost all the segments, I can hear a cardinal chirpping as background noise and boy those cranes are not fussy about where they dine - next to Costco gas pumps with cars whizzing by. Thanks Mark - great job as always. Betty N
We see them a lot in Michigan now. They eat up the lawn frogs I guess (better them than the mower). Then they all fly south for the winter like grandparents.
Best wishes super video best of luck nice sharing

They can poke a shitload of air holes in your lawn can't they?! Be good for the grass.

Mark Vance This is a great growth record.
Impossible to imagine the closely related "Common" (European) Crane so close to human habitation.
he is big now, wow
Have you ever seen them wobble we have one here about 3 months old and just checked on the parents and the baby is still wobbling
.... lost a few cranes to big dogs ... they can run AND jump ... just how things go in Nature ...
Now it learned to dig his own food.
