- In part 15 of INFRA, the Civil Engineering simulator played by a real civil engineer, I nearly die several times, I solve intense puzzles and see a bilf of a bridge! It's all part of the average day job as a Civil Engineer in Infra!

hi rce
Ok👍
#teamseas.............................................
Sorry but boring.
Do polybridge or roads or whole town building or make random aerodynamic vehicles and test full speed.
Put some more energy and joyfullness.
Ur well wisher.
I hope u reach Mil soon❤️🎉💯
Hey Motorway Matt. I heard you say in another video that Infra does not do as well. But I must say, this series has been great. Thank you for the series.
Yeah, it's a hard game to thumbnail so doesn't really pull in new viewers! I can't let you guys down by not finishing it though!!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming i love this series and its the reason i started watching your vids!
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming I appreciate you for your work. I would definitely give it a separate a playlist. Thanks again! Edit: looks like it already exists. Boy your faster then a Motorway!

Don’t stop this series ! It’s the reason I started watching your videos, it pulled me in and now I look forward to this series
Matt taking a picture of the shoddy concrete and rusty rebar as a danger/safety issue but not the broken and live electrical cable lying in stagnant water that killed him like 3 times made me chuckle.
As an electrician, I can assure you that while spicy zappy puddles may be dangerous and should generally be avoided, slightly touching one with a shoe shouldn't kill you unless you stand in the way of the flow of power between the live wire and ground. Energy likes traveling on the path of the least resistance, and water is better at conducting power than humans. That's why if your clothes are drenched enough when you get hit by a lightning bolt, there is a big chance the current will flow on the outside of you instead of the inside, increasing your chance of survival (you'll still be crispy, but at least alive).
@@LordDragox412 but at the same time if its high voltage just standing close to it or making steps will most likely kill u already
Civil engineers know their priority
@@hardstylegamer9932 That really depends on situation. Generally, as long as the voltage doesn't course through your heart to stop it and the muscle contraction doesn't force you to keep being zapped, you won't be cooked alive. If the voltage is arcing towards you but it's not constant, you'll get crispy on the outside. If it's constant, you'll be a nugget, crispy on the outside, cooked on the inside. But we're talking about a puddle, where the cable either touches the water to transfer electricity into ground, thus puddle is safe-ish, or the cable is arcing every so often towards the water - puddle is still safe-ish, but would give out cool plasma balls if the voltage is high enough and slowly dry out the puddle. Electricity is dangerous, but it's not magic. If a thunderbolt strikes the ocean, the current will travel on the surface of the water, but people on boats and fishies deep enough won't get zapped. But this puddle isn't the ocean, the water doesn't need to seek a path of least resistance through the surface. Now if the puddle was really really deep, it could turn into a zappy spicy danger puddle and cook your foot and cause your leg muscles to contort if you're walking barefoot (which Civil Engineers on the job don't tend to do, that's architect shit) and cause you to fall over and get cooked while dancing "Geddan". And that's no good. That's very no good. That's like, kill you level of dead. Almost as bad as being an architect.
I mean, he also took a photo of the fallen boulders in a room with dynamite tied to the pillars.
"Sorry for being an engineering nerd" THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE! It's so awesome watching you play this series, it's genuinely my favorite you do, and why I'm subscribed!!

At 11:00, what you did was fully solve the puzzle by both blowing the wire away, and keeping the power fully on for whatever households are connected here. Like many of the puzzles it's possible to just blow the wire away and leave a mess for others to fix.At the end, as the note suggests if you hadn't managed to reactivate Hammer Valley Dam in the second episode, you wouldn't be able to turn on the second breaker here and access part of the next level.
Matt : (is in a room that was boobytrapped with tnt to make it collapse)
Also Matt : (takes photo of the currently collapsing ceiling) "Yup, that's unsafe"
Dear god Infra is a long game. I'm fascinated to see how this ends lol
Since his playthroughs inspired me to buy this game and I wanted to stay ahead of his releases... I won't spoil what's coming up, but I will say I expect proper outrage from Matt once he finds out what's what.
Yea, having played this I will say there are 3 endings, and that something will go horribly wrong
@@rogervanbommel1086 how much is left?!?!
@@tingstrap A lot, Infra is a long game.
@@crazyspawn yaaaaaay, thank you
This feels like a fun OSHA inspection, where the inspector is drunk and just does whatever he wants
It’s like a pop quiz - are your worksite’s safety procedures good enough to stop a completely pickled inspector from getting themselves killed? :P
I get strong Portal/Bioshock vibes from this, but without the high fantasy elements. Feels like urban exploration, but with a story. I like it.
Once again I must say that Infra is my favorite series. This is so cool, keep it up man. Sorry about the low viewers on this series. I love it tho! :P
I just got here BECAUSE of Infra.
Just Give It time.
This series is great. I don't have the time to play the game, but love to watch it with your commentaries. :)
10:15 This is why I like Matt's videos. He's always ready to turn on the fans.
Man, the cliffhangers in this series are REAL 😅 Thanks for continuing with Infra
I bought Infra after watching this series, and am now a bit ahead of you. I think the developers owe you royalties for my purchase! Too bad you didn't get the Beer Master achievement. Maybe it isn't too late? You'd have to take the funicular back up to get to it.
You cant go back up sadly and im kinda disapointed that he missed the most important Part of the game for him since hes always talking about drinking beer!
Make sure to explore this bunker area good, without exploring it, you miss many corruption documents, which has an effect later on the game
YES!! Infra is BACK!!!!!
From building bridges in polybridge to inspection of civil engineering works in Infra, it has been a wonderful journey, really excited for the next gaming adventures
I subbed for Mini Motorways but stayed for Paddy and Infra! Love the commentary Matt!
I love infra. The game is amazing, great story, good graphics, puzzles are perfect difficulty. It's just a all around amazing game.
Good graphics without killing your system. I play a constant 60fps (my monitor's max refresh) with ease at max graphics settings on an i5-8400 and gtx 1060 3GB version.
@@Nareimooncatt Dude I have a 960 and I can run it at max graphics lol
The optimization in this game is insane
This is a suprisingly interesting series, I think mostly cause your treating it as another day at work.
God, that's the fattest cliffhanger i got in years. I really want to see what's in the bunker. Love that Infra series.
YES MORE INFRA
I was just bingeing this playlist and finally caught up to present day. I’m bummed that I have to wait for the next episode but glad to hear that you will be continuing. Just wanted to comment so you know there are fans out here! 👷♂️👍
This is definitely my favorite series on your channel. Keep up the good work, Thank you.
Yes!! I've been waiting for another Infra video! This series is super interesting!!! Can't believe more people don't watch it
One of your INFRA videos was recommended to me completely randomly. After watching that single episode, I enjoyed it so much that I bought the game (not letting myself watch any more episodes until I'd played that far) and played through the whole thing. Every time I watched your episode, I found things I'd missed in my own play through. Can't wait for you to finish it!
Matt you missed the Part where you can drink beer in the room before the elevator where you turned the power on are 5 beers hidden by the Beer master
Love the Infra series! Keep going, please.
YES finally another episode of INFRA! i love this serie ♥
Rip Motorway Mat.... He left us with these final words... "Oohh another motorbike, oh god I fell down!"
I’m gonna be honest, I was in the group of people who wasn’t interested in this game to begin with (I found your channel while you were about 10 videos in). I decided to give it a chance though and now I’m loving it and can’t wait for the next part! It’s interesting to hear you talk about you job more and this game has enough intrigue that I’m curious to see how it ends. I also love how quickly your character is willing to ignore all the crazy shit happening around him and just power though with the job…especially when you remember the random dead body! 😂
This game does such a good job at telling you, "this way is the way to progress, and you can't go back after this point"
I wish more games were smart like that, I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally walked through a loading zone or something because I wasn't sure which way was bonus, and which way was progression.
Ahhhhhhh, inject that Infra into my veins! Can't miss a single episode.
glad youve kept this series going
YES! I love the Infra series.
This game is so much longer than I first expected
Love this series. favorite playthrough on youtube currently.
Usually I am not an impulse buyer, but I bought this gem of a game because of this series. I am in my second playthrough now, hellbent on tracking down the full backstory. Huge recommendation for everyone.
My favorite series on the channel.
Also. There was a clock in the office you were jumping to see inside.
I love this series so much! Thank you for continuing to play it. Now, off to buy my own copy of the game.
The inspection report in the bin gets the gist right, but no engineer would write like that.
Instead of low quality and thin rebar you'd write low grade, rusted or lower cross section area than specified in drawings.
About the sand, nobody would be able to tell desert sand apart from riverine sand, until tests are performed. What matters are the mechanical properties. If they pass, it doesn't matter where they come from (though they usually are riverine and not desert). Most importantly, concrete is not just comprised of sand but also gravel. Those ought to be tested as well.
And concrete usually come to the site already premixed from a concrete plant offsite. You would have vetted the supplier, and run tests on each batch of fresh concrete. If they pass, the concrete goes into the cast. If they don't, you turn the concrete truck around.
Then how you compact the concrete in the mould has an effect on exposed rebar after casting, and iirc affects spalling long term.
Finally, the response on the report about design life going down to 30 years is absolutely egregious, because it's literally the first thing you define when you design your structures. If you can't control your processes and the resulting strength of your concrete (which you should test) then how can you tell it's going to even hold itself up during construction, let alone last x years.
--------------------------------
Kay, bit of a ramble there from someone who has done field inspections, but at least they built the game world with the right spirits. I kinda hope you'd get into the technicalities a bit as well, but an LP is an LP.
Matt vented so many times, when are we voting him out the airlock, cause he's looking mad sus
I started watching you're videos because of Infra. Glad to see you have not given up on it! Thank you!
Next episode will be an interesting one. Can't wait for you to experience the bunker, and what's inside.
Since he got the dam online and could activate the seconf breaker and getting acces to the extra Part of the Bunker it will get really interresting and maybe a bit non yt friendly
Just stopped by to say I watched about 5 seconds of one of the earlier infra videos the other month and instantly bought the game and it's been a blast watching how you've been going through the game and things you spotted that I did or didn't myself.
At 14:25 if you stack up all the boxes to get to the other side there is an easter egg.
In the room at 21:11 there's 5 hidden beers you can drink for an achievement.
@@crazyspawn Engineers don't drink on the job. That's some architect shit.
This series is what got me to subscribe I’m so glad you’re continuing it!! I must know ALL the secrets!!
Yessss infra's back!
I guess I'll forgive the clickbait thumbnail\title if it means more RCE+INFRA. There's so much to the game and I'm really enjoying your take on it, so I hope it keeps happening!
I love the fact that you still keep this series going even though it doesnt get much views
Probably my favorite series of yours
Please finish it, this game is by far the best you’ve played!!
I'm a new subscriber about a month ago or so and I went back to the first episode of infra so I can watch this video. What an amazing game. Your commentary makes it even better. Keep up the great work!
"The fan has blown the live electrical cable out of the puddle, now we can safely walk under the live cable and through the puddle!"
I don't want to drive over any bridge RCE deems safe
Well he's an engineer not a electrician
He got so excited for the new motorcycle, he let go of the rungs of the ladder XD
This chapter has a lot of interesting reveals about what's happened in the city and they're not over yet.
I've binged the whole series in the past 2 days, been great, keep it up!!!
yes new infra episode!!
Why are British TH-camrs always the best?
I was just telling a friend today about your series of this game! Glad to see another episode is up, perfect timing!
I'm loving the infra series. Great game concept, and always enjoy your play style
It's like you're trying to restart *_APERTURE Labs_*
(... *_the Cake was a Lie_* ...)
I was having a Sh#t, day as I broke my car! Been sitting worrying about it for a while but this video really cheered me up! Thanks RCE!
Had to refind your polybridge playlist then saw this. Guess I'm watching this now ! Been waiting for this for so long !! Hype!!!
I so want to see you continue this. You've come so far, but there's still a ways to go. Also, like you, I missed the visible clock in the office with the paperwork that can be seen from outside.
"Sorry for being an engineering nerd". Dude, We like that... Is your "plusvalia"... more engineer trivia or knowledge is part of the fun that We have whatching this series. I don´t know, maybe It´s just me because I am very far from being an engineer, but I like It. Carrie on Sir, you doing great.
INFRA WILL ALWAYS BE A GOOD SERIES
Thanks Matt for another great video! I am loving this series, Cheers Mate from somewhere in the USA
Matt: *finds a hidden underground world war III bunker*
Me: *cheeki breeki intensifies*
I am an easily scared person. The calm background music you put in really helps with dark spooky parts. Thank you lol
Yessss Matt! I’m always looking forward to more infra and city skylines videos from you.
Nooo, you missed drinking beer in the room with the power switch :)
Starting game as engineer
Now working as FBI agent
Change is real
This just made my day 100 times better :D
Matt's OH&S report:
Hazard: substation room with broken live power cable hanging into a puddle below.
Risk factor: Slip trip & fall, electrocution
Preventative measures: Used ventilation fan to blow the cable up out of the water, mitigating electrocution hazard
Yep. Nice and safe. lol
I was just watching this playlist again earlier. Freshly prepared for this.
And hey here you are once again, I was getting worried you weren't getting back to this.
Time for another round of things!
1. YAY! You found the VERY missable elevator into Walter Tower for some VERY important corruption evidence. I hope you enjoy the book puzzle to get back out
2. There is a Walking Dead reference near that elevator in the underground
3. Alex Hartman has VERY good reason to hate Jeff Walter, the acquisition/bankruptcy of his company is only part of it
4. You missed the Beer Master's Challenge in the power room before the Funicular (find and drink 5 beers hidden in the room)
5. The bunker door opening sequence with alarm sound is the last bit of the Part 2 teaser video
6. Your STILL in part 2
Remember: Pay attention to everything, it will pay dividends
I just watched the entire playlist of this. It's such an interesting game, I hope you'll continue the series some time :)
Yes finally more infra, love all your videos but i was missing this
Its so funny at the way you are taking pictures even though you're about to be crushed by a fuckton of debris from dynamite. Priorities man. You really ARE the model civil engineer
Walking down the street and a van with the words 'Beaver Bridges: Civil Engineering' drives down the road. Very suspicious
Finally, please do more infra
I love how he said “the peace love and bridges mug is on standby” and ingame it is the Architect’s Tears mug lol
FINALLY some juicy Infra!
I'm super invested in this game it's just a giant rabbit hole and I'm super excited to see how it ends
12:45 anyone else feels like this W is suspiciously reminiscent of Mr.Wilson's logo from Snowpiercer ?
I'm so happy this is back again!
1:17 "that means we got a good photo... a good photo? a bad photo" you got a good photo of a bad thing, and it's good you got a photo bc you need records of the bad thing you're taking the photo of
Absolutely loving this series
Please make more INFRA! These are my favorites matt
Yes, best series ever!
It’s back! Infra is the reason I subbed!
After seeing that you uploaded another episode TODAY I am slowly realizing I am starting to catch up! I don't want this crazy adventure to end lol but I am having such a blast watching you play through this. So much in fact I plan on buying this for my own playthrough soon!
I’m just waiting for the Gold Rush series to come back
I apparently have ptsd from when I worked as a cashier. On my 30 min break I went to get a snapped. Bought it. Got all the way to the break room. Dropped the snappel and it shattered. That was when my heart became a cold dead void.
16:28 Owen Wilson head - fantastic
Sometimes it seems like the game is on "Asian" difficulty.
- * dies *
- Why, how did I die again?
- "Stepped too hard"
- Oh balls.
Really does make you wonder why Mark drowns in knee-high water, dies from three-meter falls but not 2.9m falls, etc... like, what's the in-story reason he's so dang fragile?
Yeahhhh finally INFRA!
That's one heck of a cliffhanger!
Laughed and snorted at, "haven't seen a bilf in a while."
Love this series so much!!
